Kanit and Badziakouski Lose a Time Bank Chip

Level 5 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante

Mustapha Kanit and Mikita Badziakouski previously tangled in a few pots already and would do so again in the last hand of level five. Kanit defended his big blind against a raise by Badziakouski and check-raised the {10-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{2-Clubs} flop, which Badziakouski called.

On the {3-Diamonds} turn, Kanit bet 15,000 and Badziakouski asked him for the stack behind with 10 seconds remaining on the clock. "Around 95,000," Kanit replied and the clock ran down to zero before the next countdown started. The Belarusian then raised to 40,000 and Kanit took more than the first 30 seconds to make a decision, before moving all in. Badziakouski ended up folding, but complained about the situation and the floor was called.

After the entire scenario had been explained, Badziakouski also had to forfeit one time bank chip as well after taking more than 30 seconds to act before his check-raise, and stormed out of the tournament area.

Choi Steamrolling His Table

Level 5 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante

Stanley Choi is off to a fast start, playing a part in reducing two nearby opponents below the starting stack.

Dario Sammartino and Max Silver checked out of the blinds on a {j-Hearts}{2-Clubs}{7-Spades} flop, and Choi bet 12,000. Both blinds called. On the {5-Spades} turn, Choi bet 30,000 and only Silver continued, with Sammartino sighing and mucking with some force. Two checks followed a {10-Diamonds} river, and Silver turned over {j-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds} for top pair. No good though, as Choi had him outkicked: {q-Spades}{j-Spades}.

Aido Loses a Small Pot

Level 5 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante

After his big double, Sergio Aido had peaked at half a million in chips and just took on [Removed:119] in a three-bet pot in a battle cutoff versus button. On the {A-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{J-Spades}{4-Clubs} river, Bensadoun checked and Aido bet 32,000, which the Frenchman called. Aido briefly showed his cards, but Bensadoun ended up as the winner with {5-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds} for a straight.

Yan Over Holz Twice; Negreanu Enters

Level 5 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante

After winning a pot against Fedor Holz, [Removed:17] went to war with his fellow young gun again as they build a pot of about 50,000 preflop. Holz fired in 21,000 from the small blind on the {6-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{8-Clubs} flop, and Yan called. On the {9-Spades} turn, Holz checked and folded to 30,000 from Yan.

Then, Daniel Negreanu rushed in and asked to be dealt in.

"There's unlimited rebuys in this?" he asked excitedly.

Indeed, Negreanu and his fellow players may fire as many times as they wish until registration closes.

In the first hand after sitting down, Negreanu raised to 5,500 from under the gun and Dominik Nitsche three-bet to 17,000 on the button. "You have like what, 80 behind?" Negreanu asked and Nitsche nodded. "You must have something good. I have the best hand, but I am gonna fold. I don't want to be rude and bust you on the first hand."

Luca Chips Up Without Showdown

Level 5 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante

Viacheslav Buldygin raised to 5,100 from under the gun and picked up four callers including Alexander Uskov, Ivan Luca, Ilya Bulychev in the small blind and Jean-Noel Thorel in the big blind. The flop came {A-Clubs}{J-Spades}{3-Hearts} and Bulychev bet 8,000, which Thorel called. Buldygin folded, as did Uskov, before Luca raised it up to 22,700.

The action was back on Bulychev, and he used one time bank chip, then folded with six seconds left on the next clock. Thorel also folded and the pot was shipped to Luca, while Bulychev grinned over from the other side of the table with a "very nice" on his lips.

Badziakouski Doesn't Believe Kanit

Level 4 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante

Mustapha Kanit and Mikita Badziakouski met in two consecutive hands and the latter ended up the net winner after taking down a big pot in the second hand.

Hand 1

Badziakouski's open raise from under the gun was three-bet by Kanit on the button and the Belarusian called to see a flop of {K-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{7-Spades}. Badziakouski checked and let go after Kanit bet 11,500.

Hand 2

Kanit raised to 4,500 in the cutoff and Badziakouski defended the big blind, then check-called a bet of 4,500 on the {10-Spades}{9-Hearts}{3-Hearts} flop. On the {5-Clubs} turn, Badziakouski checked and called a second bet worth 13,000 before checking again the {A-Diamonds} river. Kanit fired a third barrel for 27,000 and Badziakouski let the clock run down to five seconds before electing to call.

Kanit turned over {Q-Hearts}{J-Hearts} for a busted straight and flush draw, and Badziakouski claimed the pot with the {K-Spades}{9-Clubs}.

Aido Doubles Through Choi in Massive Pot

Level 4 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante

Sergio Aido raised his hijack to 5,100 and Stanley Choi on the button was the only caller.

Aido continued for 7,000 on a flop of {A-Spades}{A-Hearts}{5-Clubs} and Choi called.

The {3-Hearts} on the turn prompted a big bet by Aido as he slid forward 38,000 this time. Choi called.

The {7-Diamonds} completed the board and Aido shoved all in. Choi immediately asked for a count. The dealer cut the stack of Aido and eventually arrived at 198,000.

Choi tanked for a bit before he tossed in a chip to call. Aido showed {5-Hearts}{5-Diamonds} for the flopped boat and Choi mucked. Since it was an all in pot, Choi's cards were revealed to be {A-Clubs}{J-Clubs} by the dealer.

Kamar Rises; Aldemir Shoves

Level 4 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante

After a raise by Fady Kamar from early position, Mikita Badziakouski three-bet to what looked like 16,000, and Kamar called to go heads-up to a flop of {K-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{8-Spades}. Kamar check, as did Badziakouski, before the {9-Diamonds} turn triggered a check by Kamar, a bet worth 15,000 by Badziakouski and a call by Kamar.

The {2-Hearts} river went check, check, again and Kamar was first to show to reveal the {A-Clubs}{K-Diamonds} for kings and nines with an ace kicker. That ended up as the winner and Kamar built his stack.

Over on table five, Koray Aldemir raised to 5,000 on the button and Timothy Adams raised to 15,400 in the small blind. Aldemir then reraised to 35,600 and Adams called. On a flop of {9-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}, Adams checked and Aldemir's shove for 105,000 took down the pot uncontested.

Only moments later, Charlie Carrel departed from one seat over and Rainer Kempe was no longer seated either.
