With 180 entries in the $125 Survivor No-Limit Hold'em event from Jason Somerville's 2015 Run It Up! Reno, a prize pool of $18,000 was generated. The top 22 spots will reach the money, and they'll all walk away with $818 in prize money because this is a survivor-style event format.
Once the final 22 players are realized, the player with the most chips will be awarded the trophy, and the $565 Main Event seat will go to the Run It Up! warrior sporting Run It Up! gear that has the largest chip stack.
"Go easy on me," Rob Mariano, who's better known as Boston Rob, as he looked over at your reporter on the scene.
The scene was as following, with on the table and a few thousand chips in the middle.
Mariano was facing a bet of 1,700 from Deb Swift, who smiled as she looked over at her opponent.
"Is it still my turn?" Mariano said after a while, getting the other players at the table to laugh.
"The anticipation is too high now," Mariano smiled after a while, as he was still pulling his arm back every time he got close to throwing out the chips for the call.
Eventually Mariano did call, and Swift showed for a pair of fours.
"This is what I called her with," Mariano sighed, tabling for bottom pair.
"I went to the seminar this morning, and I should've raised!"
"Like Jason says, 'If you think about folding; call. If you think about calling; raise.'" Mariano continued.
Mariano lost a bit of chips on this hand, but he still has about 16,000 to work with while Swift is sitting on around 22,000.
