Day 3 Sunday Results
"55 for 55"; Adam "Adamyid" Owen wins SCOOP-09-M: $55 NLHE [8-Max]
Yesterday, it was Benny "RunGodlike" Glazer bagging the fifth SCOOP title of his career in SCOOP-06-H: $2,100 8-Game. Today, it was his good friend and fellow mixed game aficionado Adam "Adamyid" Owen who made it one apiece between the Brits. While Owen is best known for his mixed game prowess, he's certainly no slouch with two cards in hand as he proved by conquering a 7,898 field in the two-day Afternoon Deep Stack that kicked off on Saturday.
Owen received $55,531 for his victory and tweeted out the following after.

Owen defeated Artem "veeea" Vezhenkov heads-up, leaving the Russian pro to settle for $39,262 and second.
The high edition of the Afternoon Deepstack was won by "Fukuruku", who shipped $77,273 for topping a 930-player field. Christopher "lissi stinkt" and Will "molswi47" Molson also made the final table.
Two days ago a Dutchman won his maiden SCOOP title in a high stakes progressive knockout tournament and history repeated itself as "Passiveaggro" came out on top of a field of 1,157 entries in Event #10-H: $1,050 NLHE [PKO]. He claimed the biggest slice of the $1,157,000 prize pool after defeating Canada's "JoeGall" in heads-up to add $161,844.81 in total to his bankroll.
"Passiveaggro" follows in the footsteps of Jorryt "TheCleaner11" van Hoof and two other Dutchmen had reached the final table. Former EPT Main Event champion Rob "batoelrob" Hollink finished in 9th place after he was eliminated by "Passiveaggro" and "AmeNeYO" came up short against eventual runner-up "JoeGall" to finish in fourth place. There seemingly wasn't a lot of passiveness about the three players from the Netherlands, as they eventually ended up with the top three bounty prizes of the entire field.
The medium edition of the same event reached its conclusion in the early stages of Monday morning after another 1M+ prize pool was created. 11,627 players fired one or more bullets into this event, including eventual champion "thegodfisher". The Brit struck gold on his third bullet, turning $327 into a payday of $64,330 plus a massive bounty worth $35,182.
Benjamin bencb789 Rolle came up just short in the last big SCOOP of the day, the Sunday Cooldown. It was Hungary's xnrobix who grabbed top honors with $42,196 and a massive bounty of $44,758. Rolle received $42,196 as well but had only $13,797 in bounties to account for. Michael "merla888" Gathy, Jens "Fresh_oO_D" Lakemeier and Jorryt "TheCleaner11" van Hoof also added final tables to their resumes.
The Beaker-army was out in full force on the popular Twitch-stream of PokerStars ambassador Lex "L. Veldhuis" Veldhuis as the Dutchman grabbed the chip lead during the mid-stages of the late-night turbo. Ultimately, Veldhuis had to settle for a min cash of $2,237 and $3,750 in bounties.
Online legend Conor "1_conor_b_1" Beresford completely destroyed the medium Sunday Cooldown, receiving $38,579 and a gargantuan bounty of $36,516 for his efforts. In comparison, runner up "Leitnant" from Estonia received the same price, but had a bounty of just $3,752. Former WSOP November Niner Michiel "utreg" Brummelhuis finished third for $22,889+$2,592.
The PokerStars SCOOP 2020 is off to a fast start for a few players, namely that of ”0m3rta” and Jorryt "TheCleaner11" van Hoof. The two players wound up heads up for the title of Event #2-H, a $2,100 No Limit Hold’em event just two days ago, and “0m3rta” (5.48 million) will now be taking the chip lead into Day 2 of Event #15-H: $2,100 NLHE $1M Gtd.
One of the biggest events on the calendar, the $10,300 High Roller is down to just 11 players after the first day. Plenty of big names took a shot at this event but it is Artur "marathur1" Martirosyan who closed it out on the top of the chip counts with a stack of 2,281,541. Jorryt "TheCleaner" van Hoof, Fedor "CrownUpGuy" Holz, Daniel "Oxota" Dvoress, Andres "Probirs" Nemeth, and Charlie "Epiphany77" Carrel will also return to play for $217,790.
Monday, May 4 is a big day as 15 events from Sunday will reach their conclusion. In addition, 12 new events will kick off as well. PokerNews is your one-stop-shop for all the latest surrounding SCOOP so don't go anywhere!
