Level 36 : Blinds 80,000/160,000, 20,000 ante
Arsenii Karmatckii
Arsenii Karmatckii

Arsenii "josef_shvejk" Karmatckii opened the action with a raise to 320,000 from early position. "StongQueenAA" was on the button and made it 816,000 to go before "Alex Shepel" put in the cold four-bet to 2,240,000 from the small blind.

Karmatckii then five-bet jammed for 3,138,851, which forced "StrongQueenAA" out of the pot. "Alex Shepel", on the other hand, put in the extra million chips and a big preflop confrontation had concluded.

Arsenii "josef_shvejk" Karmatckii: Q?Q?
"Alex Shepel": A?K?

The queens were strong for Karmatckii, as he flopped top set on Q?6?5?. The A? turn left "Alex Shepel" with zero percent and the Q? river delivered Karmatckii a bonus four of a kind as he raked in a big double-up.

Level 36 : Blinds 80,000/160,000, 20,000 ante
Niklas ?stedt
Niklas ?stedt

"Grekzorba" raised to 320,000 from the cutoff before Niklas "Lena900" Astedt went all-in for 2,069,480 from the button. The blinds folded and "Grekzorba" made the call to put the Swedish crusher at risk.

Niklas "Lena900" Astedt: A?Q?
"Grekzorba": K?K?

The flop brought a grim outlook for Astedt, as "Grekzorba" improved their pocket kings to a set on 9?5?K?. The turn 6? landed them the checkmark, and the river 4? saw Astedt's seat emptied.

Astedt was one of the many eliminations within the first half an hour of fast and furious play here on Day 3.

The penultimate day of the $1,050 PokerStars Spring Championship of Online Poker Medium Main Event is set to begin at 12:30 p.m. Eastern Time. Only 79 players have made their way to Day 3, out of the 4,206 entries that have been made in total. The field is battling over a prize pool of $4,206,000, and all are eyeing the first-place prize of $600,639.75. However, all 79 remaining players have already locked up a sum of $5,103.13 to add to their bankroll.
