Top Local Rounder Chris "Jersey" Meyers took down the 2017 Seneca Fall Poker Classic $300 Pot Limit Omaha inside the Niagara Falls Poker Room at the Seneca Niagara Casino & Resort Thursday.

The event drew 64 entries creating a $16,112 prize pool. The top seven all got paid but the title, trophy, and $5,639 went to Meyers.

Matt Shanahan grabbed the lead before they got down to three tables and held on to it going into the final table of ten. However, Meyers was never far behind.

Tim Glab bubbled the money going out eighth, and as Dave Piano ($838) busted seventh, Sal Amico ($983) was eliminated in sixth, and Ray LaRouech ($1,225) went out fifth, Shanahan took a commanding lead.

Shanahan busted Josh Knight ($1,643) fourth to add to that lead, but things went downhill for him from there. He had beaten up on Dennis Felig all night, but doubled him up twice to become the shortest of the three. Then Shanahan went out third ($2,304) giving the last of his once mighty stack to Meyers.

They got just a few hands into heads-up play before getting it in. Meyers held with jacks against a pair and a double belly buster to eliminate Fleig second and end Fleig's run at back-to-back-to-back Seneca Niagara Pot Limit Omaha titles.

That's it for four-card poker from the Niagara Falls Poker Room. However, the Seneca Fall Poker Classic action continues with the first of two starting flights for the Main Event beginning at 11 a.m. Friday and PokerNews will be there. See you then.

Dennis Fleig Eliminated in 2nd Place ($3,480)

They played just a couple of hands heads up when Dennis Fleig got it in with the {6-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{q-Spades}{5-Hearts} on a {2-Spades}{4-Hearts}{8-Diamonds} flop.

Chris Meyers had the {j-Spades}{j-Hearts}{4-Spades}{9-Clubs} and held through a {10-Diamonds} turn and {2-Clubs} river to win the hand with two jacks.

He also won the title and the trophy and back-to-back Seneca PLO champ Dennis Fleig was forced to settle for second.

Matt Shanahan Eliminated In 3rd Place ($2,304)

Dennis Fleig doubled through Matt Shanahan two hands in a row to leave Shanahan reeling.

First, Fleig called all in with what he thought was an open ender, but it turned out the pair of eights in his hand was actually good. Shanahan had put him all in with air and the eights held.

Fleig doubled through him again making a Broadway straight against his jacks. Then, Shanahan completed the fall getting outdrawn by Chris Meyers to say goodbye third.

It's now heads up with Meyers holding the lead.

The flop fell {a-Clubs}{q-Spades}{3-Spades} and Meyers potted again, going all in for 246,000 total. Fleig folded.

As a result, Meyers moved into a dead heat with Matt Shanahan for the lead and Fleig is the shortest of the three.

Josh Knight got the rest of his chips all in preflop with the {7-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{k-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}.

Matt Shanahan looked him up with the {a-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{5-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}.

The board ran out {5-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{3-Spades}{a-Spades} leaving Knight's sevens in the lead all the way to the river, where Shanahan made a pair of aces to bust him.

Matt Shanahan keeps on punishing Dennis Fleig in pot after pot, then doubling him up when he gets it in short. Shanahan has still got almost half the chips in play five handed. Here's how it looks:
