Zamani Shows the Bluff

Level 29 : 60,000/120,000, 120,000 ante

Korey Payne opened in the small blind to 260,000 and received a call from Martin Zamani, who defended his big blind. The flop fell {q-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}{a-Clubs} and Payne made a continuation-bet of 125,000. Zamani called, stating he was a gambler.

The turn came {2-Clubs} and Payne checked. Zamani put out a bet of 300,000 and Payne check-raised to 800,000. Zamani cut out three stacks of 100K-chips at three tall and then looked up to the dealer as he pulled one chip off of the last stack. He once again mentioned gambling and hoping to get lucky.

The dealer burned and turned the river {8-Clubs} to bring a fourth club on board and Payne checked. Zamani made a bet of 1.4 million, which the dealer announced, and Payne went into the tank.

A while later, Payne flashed {a-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds} to the table as he folded it, and Zamani returned the favor, showing {q-Spades}{2-Spades} for a worse two pair that he successfully turned into a bluff to earn the pot.

"Remember That Time You Didn't Have It?"

Level 29 : 60,000/120,000, 120,000 ante
Salim Admon
Salim Admon

A limped blind-on-blind pot between Randy Froelich and Salim Admon went to a flop of {j-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}, where Froelich check-called a bet of 150,000 from Admon. The turn was {q-Diamonds} and Froelich check-called another 500,000.

The river fell {6-Clubs} and Froelich checked for a third time. Admon fired once more, making a bet of 1.2 million and the dealer cut it out to confirm. Froelich thought for a bit and then made the call.

Admon showed {k-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}: "Straight to the king," announced the dealer. Froelich mucked.

"Remember that time you didn't have it?" Said Martin Zamani with a smile. "Oh, me neither!" he said with some laughter. Admon let out a giggle in return as he raked in the pot to take him up to nearly 20 million. Admon now holds over half of the chips in play with six remaining.

Jorden Helstern
Jorden Helstern

Randy Froelich opened to 265,000 in middle position and Jorden Helstern re-jammed for 1.09 million in the cutoff. Action folded back to Froelich and he called.

Jorden Helstern: {8-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}
Randy Froelich: {q-Spades}{j-Hearts}

The flop {5-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{7-Spades} left Helstern out in front but the turn {q-Hearts} gave Froelich a pair of queens. No six (outer) came on the river {3-Spades} and Helstern hit the payouts in seventh place.

Froelich Shows the Goods

Level 28 : 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante

Randy Froelich opened to 190,000 in the cutoff and received a call from David Poces, who defended his big blind. Both players checked the flop {3-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}{k-Spades}.

The turn came {q-Diamonds} and Poces put out a bet of 200,000. Froelich raised to 500,000, sending Poces into the tank.

"I have about one-point-two (million) behind," said Froelich, though another chip of the 100K-denomination capped his cards. "Plus what's out there," he added.

Poces thought for a bit more before deciding to fold: "I believe you," he said as he tossed his cards to the muck.

Froelich showed {k-Diamonds}{8-Clubs} for flopped trips and the pot was shipped his way.

Dale Eberle Eliminated in 8th Place ($28,348)

Level 28 : 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante
Dale Eberle
Dale Eberle

On the hand following Dale Eberle's double through Salim Admon, Admon opened in the cutoff and received calls from both Dale Eberle in the small blind and David Poces, who defended his big blind. The flop came {4-Clubs}{j-Spades}{q-Clubs} and action checked to Admon, who made a continuation-bet of 250,000. Eberle check-shoved for over 5 million and got a quick fold out of Poces.

"Call," announced Admon.

Dale Eberle: {k-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}
Salim Admon: {a-Hearts}{a-Spades}

Eberle saw that his check-jam had run into an overpair and was in need of hitting a five outer to not only stay alive, but double and take the chip lead. Instead, the board ran out {2-Clubs}{j-Hearts} to leave his hand second best and eliminate him in eighth place.

Dale Eberle
Dale Eberle

Salim Admon opened on the button and received a call from Dale Eberle, who defended his big blind. The flop came {9-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{8-Spades} and Eberle checked to Admon, who made a continuation-bet of 400,000. Eberle called.

The turn came {10-Diamonds} and Eberle checked to Admon again, who announced he was all in. Eberle immediately announced a call and both players turned up their hands.

Dale Eberle: {q-Diamonds}{j-Spades}
Salim Admon: {a-Spades}{10-Clubs}

Admon had put Eberle all in after turning top pair, top kicker, but that same card also gave Eberle the nuts. The river {7-Spades} completed the runout and Eberle was paid the double.
