Michael Walsh
Michael Walsh

Zachary Grech opened the action with a raise to 110,000 under the gun and was three-bet to 260,000 by Korey Payne on his direct left. Action folded around to Michael Walsh in the small blind and he could four-bet shoved for a bit over 500,000. Grech folded and Payne called.

Michael Walsh: {a-Hearts}{a-Clubs}
Korey Payne: {10-Spades}{10-Clubs}

Walsh remained ahead through the flop {k-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{6-Hearts} and turn {8-Spades}, but the river {10-Diamonds} spelled disaster for him, giving Payne a set of tens to earn him the pot and eliminate Walsh in 16th place.

Thomas Doubles Through Zamani

Level 26 : 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante

Martin Zamani was on the button and saw action fold around to him before opening to 125,000. Benjamin Thomas three-bet shoved for 375,000 in the small blind and Zamani called.

Benjamin Thomas: {a-Spades}{8-Clubs}
Martin Zamani: {a-Hearts}{5-Spades}

A Payne-ful Turn for Helstern

Level 26 : 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante

Action folded around to Korey Payne in the small blind and he shoved all in for 1.29 million. Jorden Helstern was in the big blind and called.

Korey Payne: {6-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}
Jorden Helstern: {a-Clubs}{q-Clubs}

Payne was in trouble after the flop {j-Hearts}{q-Hearts}{9-Spades} gave Helstern top pair, top kicker, but the turn {6-Hearts} gave him a set and wound up saving his tournament life, leaving Helstern drawing dead to the river {4-Diamonds} to earn the double and take his stack over 2.6 million. After the lost pot, Helstern now has 650,000.

Michael Rocco

Eighteen now remain after the recent eliminations of Chan Kim and Michael Rocco, the latter of which was one of the smallest stacks throughout all of both Day 2 and Day 3.

According to Rocco, he re-shoved his last 480,000 over an open from Zachary Grech and Grech made the call.

Michael Rocco: {a-Hearts}{4-Hearts}
Zachary Grech: {8-Clubs}{8-Spades}

Rocco was unable to find more than a four on a runout of {q-}{4-}{10-}{7-}{j-} and finished in 19th place as a result.

A Double and Three Knockouts

Level 25 : 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante

David Poces had opened in the hijack and saw action fold around to John Lytle, who was in the big blind and reraised enough to put Poces all in. Poces called.

David Poces: {a-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds}
John Lytle: {9-Hearts}{8-Hearts}

A runout of {10-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{2-Spades}{5-Spades} gave Poces a gutshot straight draw to sweat on the flop but wound up leaving his hand best to score the double through Lytle. Moments earlier, Steven Stout and Chris Wise were both eliminated to take the field down to 21.

Just after Lytle doubled Poces, he had Vic Peppe all in preflop and at risk for his tournament life.

John Lytle: {3-}{3-}
Vic Peppe: {9-Spades}{8-Spades}

Peppe was unable to hit and became the third elimination in quick succession to bring the field down to 20.

Magnus Falls To Bring the Redraw

Nadya Magnus Is Eliminated; Final 24 Redraw
Nadya Magnus Is Eliminated; Final 24 Redraw

Martin Zamani had a stack of chips in front of him on the button that was more than enough to put the players in the blinds all in after action folded to him. Nadya Magnus was in the big blind with just under 300,000 and called after looking down at her two cards.

Nadya Magnus: {k-Spades}{3-Spades}
Martin Zamani: {k-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}

Magnus shrugged after seeing Zamani's hand but the flop {6-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{3-Clubs} gave her a pair of treys and put her in front. The turn {k-Spades} gave her two pair, but added potential counterfeit outs should a six or eight come on the river. Unfortunately for her, exactly that came as {8-Diamonds} completed the runout to give Zamani kings and eights with a better kicker and eliminate Magnus in 25th place.

The floor then told the remaining tables to stop dealing after the completion of the current hand, and Quy Dao found himself also eliminated on the last hand before the redraw to finish in 24th place.

An updated seat draw for the 23 remaining players will be posted shortly, as players are on a temporary break for all seats and tables to be sanitized.
