with a significant pot brewing between defending champion Craig Trost out of position, and Larry Wagner in position.
Trost checked to Wagner who for and Wagner moved all in for 125,000 with Trost snap calling and the hands were turned over.

rolled off to keep Trost's set in the lead. The defending champion finds himself off to a strong start at the beginning of the day.

The fifth iteration of The Mid-States Poker Tour Riverside $1,100 Main Event reaches its conclusion today. This event saw a total of 749 entries create a prize pool of $726,530. 96 players total made it to Day 2 where 81 players will guarantee themselves a minimum of $2,030, with all eyes on the first place prize of $145,006.
Leading the way is Asa Snyder who ended the final flight with 600,000. The Wisconsin native is currently searching for his first MSPT cash and has put himself in prime position to do so. A deep run in this event will be a huge win for the large contingent of Wisconsin players that are remaining in the tournament.

Defending champion Craig Trost survived the day to bag up 197,000. With a healthy stack, the defending champion looks to put his name on the list of two time MSPT main event champions. Another win could help his MSPT Player of the year prospects, especially when Josh Reichard (282,000), Miles Barnum (260,000) and Dan Bekavac (92,000) have all made Day 2 and will add to their points the deeper they get into the tournament.
The 96 will return on Sunday at 11 am. The clock will return to 10:10 left on level 14 with blinds at 2,000/4,000 and a 4,000 ante with 10:10 left on the level. After that the players who return on Day 2 will play 40-minute levels again. Every three levels the players will take a 10-minute break and at the final table, they will take a full dinner break.
