Beh Tackles Yeu

Level 12 : 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante
Beh Kok Weng
Beh Kok Weng

Yeu Wei Hsiang was all in preflop with {8-Spades}{8-Hearts} but he ran into the {9-Spades}{9-Hearts} of Kok Weng Beh. Both players stood up to sweat the board which rolled out {10-Spades}{7-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{8-Clubs}. Yeu hit a set on the river but the eight gave Beh a ten-high straight and Yeu's tournament was over.

"Bye-bye," Beh laughed and waved his hand, celebrating the knockout.

Badziakouski Shoves on Katz

Level 12 : 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante

Mikita Badziakouski checked from the big blind with the flop reading {4-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{3-Spades} and Cary Katz bet 7,500 in the cutoff. Badziakouski called and the {8-Hearts} appeared on the turn. Both players tapped the felt to see the {6-Hearts} river and Badziakouski slid forward enough chips to cover Katz' remaining 36,500. Katz didn't waste much time and laid his hand down.

Alvarado Busts Ivey and Leow

Level 12 : 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante
Phil Ivey
Phil Ivey

Phil Ivey opened to 5,500 and JC Alvarado raised, making it 22,000. Ivan Leow was short stacked in the blinds and he moved all in for 18,000. Action folded back to Ivey who moved all in over the top for roughly 40,000 and Alvarado called both shoves with his covering stack.

Phil Ivey: {Q-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds}
JC Alvarado: {A-Spades}{9-Hearts}
Ivan Leow: {K-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}

The flop was safe for Ivey when it came down {7-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{5-Hearts} but the {K-Spades} on the turn was a heartbreaker, giving Leow top pair. The {A-Hearts} on the river would vault Alvarado into the lead and he sent both players to the rail after making a pair of aces.

Chen Gets Value From Two Pair

Level 11 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

James Chen and Steve O'Dwyer tangled on a flop of {4-Spades}{2-Clubs}{Q-Spades} where Chen checked in the big blind and O'Dwyer fired 5,500. Chen called and they both checked the {7-Clubs} turn.

The {10-Diamonds} hit the river and Chen led out 13,000. O'Dwyer used his allocated 30 seconds and tossed in one chip, calling. Chen turned up {Q-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds} for queens up and O'Dwyer mucked his hand in defeat.

Luc Greenwood Falls to Peters

Level 11 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante
Luc Greenwood
Luc Greenwood

David Peters made it 5,000 in the first position on a four-handed table and James Chen flatted on the button. Luc Greenwood found a good spot to squeeze-shove around 34,000 out of the small blind, but Peters had it.

Greenwood: {A-Hearts}{J-Hearts}
Peters: {Q-Spades}{Q-Diamonds}

Greenwood's hand trailed and the {6-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{7-Spades} flop was safe for Peters. Greenwood caught two extra outs on the {J-Diamonds} turn but the {3-Spades} river eliminated him. Greenwood fired a new bullet and rejoined the field with 50,000.

Alavarado Fades to Double Through Greenwood

Level 11 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante
JC Alvarado
JC Alvarado

Sam Greenwood raised to 4,000 on the button and JC Alvarado called in the big blind.

The flop came down {8-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{2-Diamonds} and Alvarado checked to Greenwood. Greenwood put out a bet of 8,000. Alvarado thought for a bit then check-raised, making it 20,000. Greenwood moved all in and Alvarado called bringing the two players to a showdown.

JC Alvarado: {8-Hearts}{6-Spades}
Sam Greenwood: {5-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}

The turn was the {K-Clubs} and the river was the {10-Hearts} and Alvarado would hold to double up to 216,000 while Greenwood was left with 96,000.

Schulman Comes and Goes

Level 11 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

Steve O'Dwyer was on the button, Nick Schulman in the big blind and the chips got in preflop in what was presumably O'Dwyer's open-raise and Schulman's three-bet shove for about 45,000.

Schulman: {A-Spades}{K-Hearts}
O'Dwyer: {10-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}

The board ran out {3-Hearts}{4-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{3-Spades}, giving no help to Schulman whose re-entry bullet lasted only a few minutes.

Kenney Ousted by Katz

Level 10 : 800/1,600, 1,600 ante
Bryn Kenney
Bryn Kenney

Bryn Kenney got his last 12,800 into the middle when he peeled {A-Clubs}{8-Clubs} in the small blind. Unfortunately for him, Cary Katz had the {A-Hearts}{10-Diamonds} in the cutoff. Kenney's inferior kicker couldn't catch up on the board of {Q-Spades}{9-Clubs}{3-Spades}{Q-Diamonds}{7-Hearts} and Katz took the rest of his chip, climbing to 70,000.
