Three-Bet Pot for Juanda

Level 10 : 800/1,600, 1,600 ante

Sergio Aido made it 3,500 in the cutoff and John Juanda eyed Aido's stack. Then he fired 10,600 on the button and Aido called to see the {2-Spades}{3-Spades}{4-Hearts} flop. Aido checked and Juanda took it down with what looked like a bet of 6,900.

Shortly after that, Nick Schulman walked to the neighboring table with a paper slip in his hand, firing his second bullet after he failed to make it through Day 1.

Katz Folds to Third Shell

Level 10 : 800/1,600, 1,600 ante

In a blind-versus-blind contest, Cary Katz and Kok Weng Beh made it to the flop of {6-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{7-Spades}. It looked to be a good flop for Katz' hand as he held {9-Spades}{7-Diamonds} but Beh had him crushed, having flopped the nuts with {9-Clubs}{8-Hearts}.

Katz check-called 3,000 and then check-called another 4,000 on the {6-Spades} turn. The river fell {K-Diamonds} and Katz checked one more time. Beh tossed in 10,000 and Katz quickly laid his hand down, saving himself the final shell.

James Chen Stacked by Sam Greenwood

Level 10 : 800/1,600, 1,600 ante

James Chen limped in the small blind and Sam Greenwood raised to 6,000 from the big blind. James Chen called.

Chen checked on the {10-Spades}{3-Spades}{2-Hearts} flop and Greenwood put out a bet of 7,000. Chen thought for a bit then called.

On the {7-Spades} turn, Chen changed gears and decided to lead out for 9,500. Greenwood called.

The river was the {3-Spades} and Chen led out again, putting forward a bet of 15,000. Greenwood thought for a bit, then moved all in for about 20,000 more. Chen tanked through one time bank, then eventually decided to call. Chen was holding {A-Hearts}{10-Clubs} but it was no good as Greenwood held {Q-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs} for a better two pair.

Chen was eliminated and immediately headed to the registration desk to reenter.

Greenwood Sends Nitsche Out

Level 10 : 800/1,600, 1,600 ante
Dominik Nitsche
Dominik Nitsche

Dominik Nitsche limped in the small blind and Luc Greenwood asked Nitche how much was his total. Nitsche quickly replied that he had 29,700 and Greenwood moved all in. Nitsche snap-called.

Nitsche: {K-Spades}{Q-Spades}
Greenwood: {Q-Diamonds}{10-Spades}

Nitsche had a dominating hand but he was no longer ahead when the {J-Spades}{7-Clubs}{10-Clubs} flop appeared. Greenwood caught a ten but Nitsche still had a solid equity with an open-ender and a backdoor flush draw. The rest of the board, however, bricked out and the {3-Diamonds} turn and {6-Hearts} river sent Nitsche to the rail.
