Dimsa Extends Lead

Level 31 : 80,000/160,000, 160,000 ante

James Rann raised to 320,000 on the button and was called by Lukas Dimsa. The {10-Spades}{4-Hearts}{2-Clubs} flop was checked by Dimsa, who then called a continuation bet worth 450,000 by Rann. They knuckled the {9-Hearts} turn and Dimsa bet the {2-Spades} river for 700,000.

Rann smiled at his opponent and sigh-folded.

Nearly Even in Chips; Deal Discussions Ongoing

Level 31 : 80,000/160,000, 160,000 ante

James Rann check-raised a heads-up river of {j-Clubs}{6-Spades}{2-Spades}{a-Hearts}{9-Hearts} from 320,000 to 1,300,000, which forced Rickie Vedhara out of the way.

A limped pot between them was then checked to the {a-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{8-Spades} river on which Rann bet and Vedhara folded.

Right after the hand, the three final players asked to pause the clock with 17 minutes remaining. They will now be checking for a potential ICM deal and have to play for 10% of the remaining prize pool.

Dimsa Nearly Closes the Gap

Level 31 : 80,000/160,000, 160,000 ante

James Rann three-bet jammed into Rickie Vedhara to chip up without any need of a showdown.

He then raised to 420,000 on the button and Lukas Dimsa called in the big blind. The {q-Hearts}{j-Hearts}{7-Spades} flop was checked and the {2-Hearts} followed on the turn. Dimsa check-raised from 220,000 to 650,000 and that won the pot right there, as Rann folded after giving it some consideration.

Rann Chips Up Without Showdown

Level 31 : 80,000/160,000, 160,000 ante

In a limped pot the {6-Spades}{6-Clubs}{4-Clubs} flop was checked and James Rann then bet the {4-Diamonds} turn for 160,000, which Rickie Vedhara called. On the {j-Hearts} river, Rann bet once more and the chips were barely in when Vedhara already mucked.

Lukas Dimsa chipped up slightly in three-handed play while Vedhara remained the chip leader. However, that may change at any minute with all players still being quite deep. Rann as the shortest stack has nearly 30 big blinds at his disposal.

Joshua Boulton Eliminated in 4th Place (40,960)

Level 31 : 80,000/160,000, 160,000 ante
Joshua Boulton
Joshua Boulton

Rickie Vedhara opened to 320,000 from under the gun and Joshua Boulton called all-in out of the big blind as he had more than a third of his stack already invested with the big blind ante.

Joshua Boulton: {10-Spades}{6-Spades}
Rickie Vedhara: {9-Hearts}{9-Spades}

The pocket pair reigned supreme on the {8-Clubs}{3-Hearts}{2-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{8-Spades} board and sent Boulton to the payout desk. He takes home 40,960 for his fourth place finish.

Rann Gets Shorter; Doubles Through Boulton

Level 31 : 80,000/160,000, 160,000 ante
James Rann
James Rann

Lukas Dimsa took a small chunk out of the stack of James Rann, who then defended the big blind against the under-the-gun raise by Joshua Boulton.

The flop came {10-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{3-Spades} and Rann checked his option, which led to a bet worth 160,000 by Boulton. Rann check-raised to 400,000 and Boulton min-clicked to 640,000 only for Rann to shove. Only a few seconds passed and Boulton sigh-called with the slightly superior stack.

Joshua Boulton: {k-Clubs}{10-Hearts}

The {8-Hearts} turn and {7-Clubs} river runout let Rann double for 1,430,000 and left Boulton with fumes.

Vedhara Widens The Gap

Level 31 : 80,000/160,000, 160,000 ante

Right after the new level started, an intense duel between James Rann and Rickie Vedhara unfolded that lasted some ten minutes in total. It all kicked off with a raise to 420,000 by Rann in the cutoff and Vedhara made it 1,050,000 to go in the small blind.

Rann then four-bet to 1,700,000 and Vedhara joined the staring contest to call and see the {a-Hearts}{q-Clubs}{3-Hearts} flop. By then, five minutes had already passed and they checked it through to see the {7-Clubs} on the turn.

Vedhara checked once more and Rann bet 375,000 to then face a check-raise to 900,000 total. Rann stared his opponent down some more and sent the cards into the muck.

Rann Wins Pot Off Vedhara

Level 30 : 60,000/120,000, 120,000 ante

James Rann raised it up from the button and Rickie Vedhara called out of the big blind. It was then Vedhara who bet the {4-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}{2-Clubs} flop for 150,000 and the {4-Hearts} turn for 350,000, picking up calls from Rann both times.

The {q-Spades} river was checked by both and Vedhara mucked his cards. Rann didn't have to show to collect the pot but flashed the {a-Clubs}{8-Spades} before collecting the chips.
