Petrangelo Takes from Imsirovic

Level 20 : 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante

In the penultimate hand of the level, Ali Imsirovic raised the button to 100,000 holding the {8-Spades}{4-Diamonds} and Nick Petrangelo defended the big blind with the {k-Hearts}{5-Hearts}.

Petrangelo check-called a bet of 70,000 on the {5-Clubs}{a-Clubs}{8-Hearts} and then action went check-check on the {K-Spades} turn.

When the {3-Clubs} completed the board on the river, Petrangelo bet 400,000 and Imsirovic burned through a couple time extensions before folding his pair.

Straight vs. Straight

Level 20 : 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante

Kristen Bicknell raised the button to 125,000 holding the {a-Hearts}{5-Diamonds} and Ali Imsirovic defended the big blind holding the {10-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}.

Both players checked the {7-Hearts}{4-Spades}{6-Spades} flop and then Imsirovic led out for 100K on the {8-Hearts} turn. Bicknell just called with her straight and the {9-Diamonds} spiked on the river to give Imsirovic a bigger straight.

Imsirovic bet 175,000 and Bicknell paid it off.

Katz with a River Bluff

Level 20 : 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante

Cary Katz raised to 100,000 holding the {8-Hearts}{7-Hearts} in the cutoff and Dan Shak defended the big blind holding the {a-Clubs}{4-Clubs}.

Both players checked the {5-Clubs}{j-Spades}{9-Hearts} flop as well as the {k-Hearts} turn, and then Shak checked for the third time on the {9-Diamonds} river. Katz bet 185,000 and Shak thought about it for a bit before releasing his hand.

Joseph Cappello Eliminated in 6th Place ($88,500)

Level 18 : 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante
Joseph Cappello - 6th Place
Joseph Cappello - 6th Place

Nick Petrangelo raised to 60,000 under the gun and Joseph Cappello three-bet all in for 175,000 from the small blind. Petrangelo called and Cappello was primed to double.

Cappello: {a-Clubs}{k-Hearts}
Petrangelo: {k-Spades}{j-Clubs}

The {10-Spades}{7-Hearts}{q-Hearts} flop gave Petrangelo an open-ended straight draw, and while he didn't hit it on the {K-Clubs} turn, he did when the {A-Spades} spiked on the river.

Cappello made two pair but it was no good as Petrangelo made Broadway to score the first elimination of the final table.

Shak: {8-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}
Cappello: {k-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}

Cappello got it in good and was rewarded with a double after the board ran out {4-Clubs}{3-Hearts}{7-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}.
