Purple jacket winner Ali Imsirovic is looking to compliment last year's Poker Masters win with a US Poker Open victory, and he's in position to do it as chip leader at the Event #5: $25,000 No Limit Hold'em final table.
However, the star-studded final table is highlighted by two high roller specialist in Nick Petrangelo and Cary Katz. Both will be coming in today with vastly more experience in high-stakes tournament play than their competitors and will be looking to add another cash to their already stacked resumes at the PokerGO studio just outside of the ARIA Resort & Casino.
Somewhat surprisingly, for the first time this series, Sean Winter is not at the final table. Nor is Stephen Chidwick for that matter. Instead, there are four newcomers to 2019 USPO final tables, with Katz and Joe Cappello being the exceptions.
Seat | Player | Chip Count |
---|---|---|
1 | Cary Katz | 260,000 |
2 | Nick Petrangelo | 1,415,000 |
3 | Kristen Bicknell | 1,545,000 |
4 | Dan Shak | 1,560,000 |
5 | Ali Imsirovic | 2,505,000 |
6 | Joseph Cappello | 95,000 |
There was a total of 59 entry slips sold for the tournament, creating a prize pool of $1,475,000. The nine remaining players are guaranteed at least a min-cash of $88,500, however, they all have their sights set on the $442,500 first-place prize.
A start time of 1 p.m. PST is scheduled for the final table and the remaining six will play until a winner is crowned. The action will be live streamed on PokerGo from the start of the day which will begin at 2 p.m. PST. Remember that you can subscribe to PokerGO for just $10 a month or $99 a year to watch nine straight days of U.S. Poker Open final table action plus PokerGO’s full catalog of programming.
