Chris Vitch Eliminated in 3rd Place ($80,000)

Level 18 : 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante
Chris Vitch - 3rd Place
Chris Vitch - 3rd Place

2-7 Triple Draw:

The short-stacked Chris Vitch was on the button and raised to 80,000, which Brandon Adams called from the big.

Adams drew two and Vitch one. Adams then check-called a 40,000 bet and drew one while Vitch stood pat.

Adams checked for the second time and Vitch bet 80,000, leaving himself just 15,000 behind. Adams check-raised and Vitch called off. Adams then stood pat.

"Well, I've got a problem," said Vitch. He took his time before ultimately staying pat with {9-}{8-}{7-}{5-}{3-}. Unfortunately for him, it was no good as Adams held {9-}{7-}{6-}{3-}{2-}.

The final two are now on a short break as the tournament staff prepares for heads-up play.

Schulman Takes from Vitch

Level 17

Pot-Limit Omaha:

Nick Schulman raised the button to 35,000 holding the {a-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}{j-Spades}{3-Diamonds} and Chris Vitch defended his big blind with {k-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{6-Clubs}.

Vitch check-called a bet of 32,000 on the {q-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{10-Spades} flop but then check-folded to one of 65,000 on the {q-Diamonds} turn.

Randy Ohel Bubbles Event #8: $25K 8-Game Mix

Level 17
Randy Ohel
Randy Ohel

Stud 8:

Brandon Adams: {8-Clubs}{2-Diamonds} /{5-Spades}{4-Spades}{10-Hearts} fold
Randy Ohel: {6-Spades}{6-Clubs} / {a-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}{j-Spades}{3-Clubs} / {2-Spades}
Nick Schulman: {7-Clubs}{5-Hearts} / {4-Clubs}{7-Spades}{5-Clubs}{4-Diamonds} / {8-Hearts}

Picking up the action on fourth street, Nick Schulman bet 30,000 and Randy Ohel burned a time extension before opting to raise to 60,000, which left him just 1,000 back. Both Adams and Schulman called, and then the former folded to a 60,000 bet from the latter on fifth street.

The hands were turned up and Ohel was looking to improve. He failed to do so on sixth, and Schulman was kind enough to show him seventh straight away to see if he was even drawing live. Ohel was but failed to get there as he peeled a useless deuce.

With that, Ohel leaves empty handed while the other three players are now in the money.

Ohel's Short Stack Gets Shorter

Level 17

Stud 8:

Brandon Adams: {a-Clubs}{6-Spades} / {4-Spades}{6-Spades}{7-Spades}{5-Hearts} / {k-Spades}
Chris Vitch: {7-Hearts}{3-Diamonds} / {7-Clubs}{8-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{j-Spades} / {8-Diamonds}
Randy Ohel: {5-Clubs}{6-Clubs} / {8-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{j-Hearts} fold

Brandon Adams brought it in for 10,000 and Chris Vitch completed to 30,000. Randy Ohel flatted and then Adams popped it to 60,000. Both his opponents called and then Vitch bet 30,000 on fourth. Both players called and Vitch bet another 30,000 after pairing on fifth.

Ohel folded, Adams called, and it was off to fifth. Adams called a bet of 60,000 and then bet the same amount after Vitch checked sixth. A bet and call on seventh saw Adams and Vitch split the pot with the low and high respectively.
