Jimmy Ostensson Eliminated in 8th Place (€70,435)

Jimmy Ostensson

Mickael Guenni moved all-in preflop and received no callers.

Hand 26 and Jimmy Ostensson raised all-in for 354,000 from the button. Fabrice Touil thought before making the call from the small blind. Arnaud Mattern folded in the big blind.

Ostensson: {9-Clubs} {9-Hearts}
Touil: {A-Clubs} {6-Clubs}

Ostensson had waited for his moment and got it in ahead but the board came {J-Hearts} {4-Spades} {K-Spades} {A-Spades} {6-Spades} to eliminate him.

"Come on boy!" shouted Nourredine A?taleb for some reason. The young Swede goes home with just over €70,000 in his pocket as seven players remain.

Double Up For Amourette

Theo Jorgensen raised to 60,000 preflop and Antoine Amourette reraised all-in for just over 300,000. Jorgensen did some calculations and made the call saying, "I should be ahead..." only to turn over {10-Diamonds} {2-Diamonds}. Amourette showed a dominating {A-Clubs} {10-Spades}.

The board came {6-Diamonds} {K-Spades} {9-Clubs} {7-Hearts} {9-Spades} and Amourette got a much needed double up, not that it made much dent in the juggernaut-sized stack of Jorgensen.

We're Back

Theo Jorgensen took Hand 17 with a raise to 60,000 and Per Linde took the following one with a raise to 52,000. Then it was Jorgensen's turn again, he picked up the blinds with a 52,000 raise.

After this short period of big stack bullying, Hand 20 saw Nourredine A?taleb make a massive raise to 110,000. Understandably everyone quickly folded out of his way.

Jorgensen Wins One, Loses Another

Mickael Guenni limped in with his short stack from the small blind, which meant Theo Jorgensen decided to punish the limp, making it 50,000 to go from the big blind. Guenni called but then folded when Jorgensen set him in on the flop.

Arnaud Mattern made it 48,000 from the cutoff and Theo Jorgensen called in the small blind after calculating Mattern's stack. The flop was {7-Diamonds} {4-Diamonds} {7-Hearts} and Jorgensen checked and then folded quickly to a 68,000 bet from Mattern.

Linde Has A Big Per?

Nourredine A?taleb raised and took the blinds and then in Hand 10, Per Linde raised to 45,000 with Fabrice Touil defending in the blinds. It wasn't a long defence by the Frenchman though, he quickly surrendered to a 54,000 bet on the {Q-Spades} {9-Clubs} {6-Hearts} flop.

Arnaud Mattern was lucky enough to get a walk in Hand 11.

Per Linde opened to 45,000 preflop but Arnaud Mattern reraised to 150,000 from the small blind. Per Linde rechecked his cards then declared slightly nervously, "I'm all-in..."

Mattern looked equally concerned by both the shove and the fact that Linde had him covered in the hand. He spent a moment crunching the numbers in his head as Linde stared straight on, impassively.

Eventually, Mattern made the fold albeit with heavy reluctance. Linde is the biggest climber so far and a clear second place at the moment.

The Boot On The Other Foot

Like how we at Pokernews cook our clams, Fabrice Touil seemed a little steamed after that last hand and pushed all-in preflop straight away. Mickael Guenni moved all-in behind and Touil was the one now at risk.

Guenni: {K-Diamonds} {K-Hearts}
Touil: {A-Hearts} {J-Clubs}

A {4-Clubs} {A-Spades} {4-Diamonds} {9-Spades} {4-Hearts} board meant Touil got his a double up, but he still looked fairly unhappy from losing that big pot to Per Linde. Guenni now becomes the short stack at the final table.

The Ultimate Blank Proves Not To Be...

Arnaud Mattern took the fourth hand with a raise from the small blind while Theo Jorgensen got a walk from the big blind in the next hand.

Per Linde opened to 45,000 from UTG and it was passed to Mickael Guenni who reraised to 139,000 from the button. Linde quickly folded.

Seventh hand and Fabrice Touil raised to 68,000, Theo Jorgensen gave it a good think before folding. It was passed to Per Linde, who moved all-in, Touil instantly called.

Linde: {2-Hearts} {2-Spades}
Touil: {K-Hearts} {K-Clubs}

The board came {7-Spades} {J-Hearts} {3-Diamonds} {Q-Diamonds} but then a cry from the room as the {2-Clubs} came on the river. Touil ran off from the table and Linde said, "Yeah, that was pretty sick."

In the aftermath, Jorgensen revealed he had folded {A-} {2-} because he felt Touil was pretty strong. So we start the tournament with a 1-outer on the river, that's quite cool right?
