It's been a long day, but for Kurt Jewell things couldn't have ended better. When play began earlier today, Jewell was the chip leader. He never seemed to falter and only had a couple of minor hiccups along the way, staying atop the leader board for just about all of Day 3. After the final hand was in the books, the man sitting with the ring on the finger was Jewell. He beat out Jared Kenworthy in a long heads-up battle to claim the victory.
Winning the WSOP Circuit Main Event earned Jewell over $240,000 in prize money, a $10,000 seat to the Regional Championship on Monday, a guaranteed seat in the National Championship at the end of the season and the gold championship ring. Kenworthy earned just over $150,000 for his runner-up finish.
Although the Main Event is wrapped up and in the books, we're not done here yet from Hammond, Indiana. The Regional Championship kicks off on Monday at 12:00 noon (just a few hours from now) and will be bringing out some of the biggest names in poker. After all, it is a big $10,000 buy-in event.

Kenworthy Falls Back - 4:00 AM
Kurt Jewell made it 500,000 to play from the button, and Jared Kenworthy called to see a flop. It was 
and both players checked to the 
turn. Kenworthy took the lead with a bet of 650,000 now, and Jewell made the call. The 
filled out the board, and Jewell called a healthy bet of 1.3 million. We'd never get to see Kenworthy's cards; Jewell tabled 
for trips, good enough to take down the pot.
Kenworthy Gets it In Again - 4:05 AM
We picked up the action on the 
flop as Kyle Jewell was checking from the big blind. On the button, Jared Kenworthy bet out 300,000 before Jewell check-raisd all in over the top. Kenworthy called off the last 3.95 million of his chips to put himself at risk of elimination once again. And once again, he was ahead:

The turn 
was a bit of a sweat for the all-in player as he needed to fade four extra outs to stay alive. He would manage to do that, however, as the river saved his tournament life and doubled him back up. He's now virtually even with Jewell, and the battle rages on.
Jared Kenworthy Eliminated in 2nd Place ($150,104) - 4:10 AM
Jared Kenworthy limped the button and then Kurt Jewell raised to 750,000. Kenworthy moved all in for 8.1 million and Jewell opted to make the call with the 
. He was dominated by the 
for Kenworthy. The flop came down 
and Kenworthy was a turn and river away from a huge double up to cripple Jewell. The turn brought the and that left Jewell needing a jack and a jack only to win the event. The dealer burned one more time and then slapped the on the river to deliver a crushing blow to Kenworthy. Jewell was able to spike his three-outer to win the hand and eliminate Kenworthy in second place.

The Lead Changes Hands Again - 2:41 AM
From the small blind, William Reynolds open-shoved to put the pressure on Jared Kenworthy. He was up to the challenge; Kenworthy called all in for 3.525 million, and the race was on.

Reynolds found an ace on the flop, but it was no use. Kenworthy made his set of sixes as the board ran out 
, and he's doubled up. Mark him down for 7.14 million now, good enough to take the chip lead for the first time as far as we can remember.
Reynolds Takes Another Hit - 2:45 AM
On the button, Kurt Jewell raised to 455,000 to open the pot. Next door, William Reynolds bumped it up to 950,000 total, but that wasn't going to get through. Jewell shoved all in on a four-bet, and Reynolds quickly returned his cards to the dealer. He's down to 3.6 million now, while Jewell climbs back up around the 7-million-chip mark.
Shove and Call - 2:55 AM
First in from the small blind, Kurt Jewell announced an all in, and big blind William Reynolds instantly called all in for his own tournament life. He showed up , and Jewell couldn't believe it. "You always wake up with it!" he groaned. Reynolds nodded and said, "All right, let's run it."
And run it they did. The 
flop kept Reynolds comfortably in the lead, but the dangerous landed on fourth street. Jewell had 12 outs to the win, but he could not find any of them. The river, however, was just fine with him. "Ooh, chop pot!" he realized.
"Oh, that is a wheel," Reynolds noticed. Everyone gets their money back, and it's on to the next hand with no damage.
William Reynolds Eliminated in 3rd Place ($110,567) - 3:00 AM
At the stroke of 3:00 AM, William Reynolds open-shoved about 3 million into the middle. Two seats over, big blind Kurt Jewell made the call with the covering stack, and Reynolds was again at risk as the cards were turned up. And the news was not good.

Reynolds was unable to coax even a chop pot out of the dealer as he ran out a board of 
. That gives Jewell the pot and the knockout, and Reynolds shook his opponents' hands before being whisked away to the payout desk. He'll take home six figures for this performance, but it's not the Circuit ring he was looking for.
Jewell Widens the Gap - 3:04 AM
Jared Kenworthy raised to 450,000 from the button, and Kurt Jewell called for a flop. It came , and Jewell check-called a bet of 500,000. He checked again on the turn before calling another bullet, 1.2 million this time. On the river, though, he led out into the pot with an all-in shove. Kenworthy could not call; he slid his cards into the muck, leaving himself with about 4.2 million.
That gives Jewell the other ~13.2 million in play and a more than 3:1 edge over his opponent.
Ten-High Will Do It – 3:10 AM
Jared Kenworthy raised to 450,000 from the button again, and Kurt Jewell made the call. They took a 
flop, and they both checked it. The turn drew another check from Jewell, and he called a bet of 425,000 there. The 
river drew another check apiece from the two men, and Jewell showed his 
first. Ten-high was good; Kenworthy mucked his cards, falling further back to about 3.4 million.
Ken-Worthy of More Chips – 3:29 AM
Jared Kenworthy was on the button, and he and Kurt Jewell took a cheap flop for the minimum 200,000 apiece. It came 
, and both men checked to see another card. The landed on fourth street, and this time Jewell check-called 250,000. He check-called another 650,000 on the turn, and those were chips he'd not be getting back. Kenworthy tabled to pick up the pot, chipping his way back up to 4.8 million in the process.
Jewell Tugging Back - 3:40 AM
Jared Kenworthy limped from the button, and Kurt Jewell raised to 450,000. Kenworthy called.
The flop brought , and Jewell bet 550,000. Kenworthy called there, and he called another 1.05 million on the turn. That led them to the river, and Jewell went ahead and moved all in to put his man to the test. Kenworthy could not call, however, uncapping his cards and sending them muckward.
He's down to 2.995 million now, putting the other 14.435 million in Jewell's corner.
Kenworthy Regains Momentum - 3:41 AM
From the button, Kurt Jewell raised all in. His opponent made the call for his own tournament life, Jared Kenworthy committing his last 2.965 million to the pot. He was ahead:

The flop was a disaster for the at-risk player as it brought a pair of nines to Jewell. He was in a big hole after the hole, but he would leap right back out of it. The dropped on fourth street, pulling him back into a big lead and putting him one card from a double up.
River: . That's safe and sound for Kenworthy, and he's once again crawled back into this heads-up duel. He's at 5.99 million now, still at a large chip disadvantage.
Kenworthy Continues to Climb - 2:48 AM
Jared Kenworthy limped in from the button, but Kurt Jewell made him pay 550,000 to see a flop. Kenworthy obliged, and the dealer spread out . Jewell continued out with 600,000 chips, and his opponent didn't waste much time calling.
The appeared on fourth street, and Jewell slowed down now with a check. Kenworthy took his cue to fire 1.5 million chips at the pot, and that was just the right amount to take it down right there.
That hand also ended the level, and the players are on a quick break.

Kenworthy Folds to Three-Bet - 1:25 AM
From the button, Jared Kenworthy raised to 375,000. He folded though after Kurt Jewell three-bet to 1.08 million.
Kenworthy Calls All In and Doubles - 1:31 AM
From under the gun, Kurt Jewell opened to 380,000. Edwin Choi moved all in from the next spot on the button and Jared Kenworthy asked for a count on Choi's stack. Kenworthy was in the big blind and tanked for a couple of minutes. He had 1.975 million behind after posting his big blind and Choi was all in for 2.89 million.
After a couple of minutes, Kenworthy made the call for his entire stack. Jewell quickly folded and Choi tabled the , claiming to be caught making a move. He was in bad shape against the for Kenworthy.
The board ran out 
and Kenworthy earned the double up. He's well back into the game while Choi was crushed down to 750,000 in chips.
Edwin Choi Eliminated in 4th Place ($82,514) - 1:36 AM
Edwin Choi was all in from the small blind for 500,000 and William Reynolds made the call from the big blind. Choi held the and was up against the for Reynolds.
The board ran out 
and that was the end of the line for Choi. He wound up with over $82,000 in prize money and a fourth-place finish.
Kenworthy Climbing - 1:44 AM
Jared Kenworthy raised from the button to 375,000. Kurt Jewell reraised from the small blind to an even one million and Kenworthy called.

and both players checked to see the fall on the turn. Jewell fired 635,000 and Kenworthy called. The river completed the board with the and both players checked. Kenworthy tabled the and Jewell mucked.
Kenworthy moved to 5.52 million with that pot.
We Have a New Leader! - 2:07 AM
William Reynolds opened to 340,000 from the button, and Jared Kenworthy quickly surrendered his small blind. In the big, though, Kurt Jewell announced an all in reraise. The call from Reynolds couldn't have come any quicker, turning up his as he did. Jewell could only show , poised to grant yet another double up.
The flop wasn't exactly what Reynolds wanted to see as it came to smash his opponent's hand. Reynolds was still in the lead with his aces, but he was going to need to fade a myriad of outs with two to come.

River: . A very scary black card, but ultimately safe for Reynolds. With a big sigh of relief, he's found his double up. He had 4.045 million when he shoved, so our math says he's up to 8.23 million as he spends the next few minutes stacking that pot. He can relish it; he's the chip leader now with close to half the chips in play.
At the end of the level, the tournament director asked the players if they'd like to continue play tonight or suspend it until tomorrow. The verdict was to keep on going tonight. Next level please, but not before a 10-minute break.

From the button, Kurt Jewell raised to 280,000. Edwin Choi moved all in from the small blind for 1.435 million. After William Reynolds folded out of the big blind, Jewell took a minute and then made the call with the . Choi held two red eights.
The flop, turn and river ran out 
and Choi doubled back over three million in chips. Jewell began the hand with a little bit over 9.4 million and was knocked back to right about eight million. He's still plenty ahead of everyone else though.
