Can You Feel the Love?

Apologies for the lack of reported hands just recently. In other circumstances this could have been down to our laziness but this time it's down to too much respect between the players.

A lot of pots have been taken down with an initial raise or continuation bet, otherwise they've been checked down the whole way. There's a great atmosphere between them and they're all having fun but no one is trying to win this right now. One spectator even asked if they realized the game was indeed No Limit Holdem! Let's get some gamble on guys.

Bobby Rooney Eliminated in 6th Place ($13,125)

Happier times
Happier times
Bobby Rooney left himself short after doubling up Paul Peterson to his right, so he decided to push all in from the small blind, when folded around to him. Jun Dulay called with {K-Spades} {8-Clubs} and was ahead of Rooney's {6-Hearts} {5-Hearts}.

The board came {A-Diamonds} {Q-Diamonds} {7-Spades} {J-Clubs} {10-Diamonds}. Broadway enough to knock Rooney out in 6th place.

McAvoy is in Another Showdown. No Change, Then!

Chip leader again
Chip leader again
John McAvoy has just been involved in another all-in encounter, this time with Andrew Cohen. A preflop raising war saw both players all in.

Cohen was well ahead with his {K-Hearts} {K-Clubs} to McAvoy's {10-Spades} {10-Hearts}.

The board ran nine high sending Cohen back to the summit with 925,000. McAvoy is down to 190,000.

Can't Crack the Case

Andrew Cohen limps the button and John McAvoy makes it 55,000 from the small blind. Big blind Casey Kuhn reraises all in for 289,000 and Cohen folds. McAvoy makes the call though with {A-Diamonds} {J-Diamonds} and Kuhn shows {K-Diamonds} {K-Hearts}, the latter holds on a {J-Clubs} {8-Clubs} {8-Spades} {9-Hearts} {9-Spades} board.

Kuhn has about 600,000 now and McAvoy down to 560,000

Ferdinand Boleski Out in 8th Place ($8,866)

Ferdinand Boleski - 8th Place Only
Ferdinand Boleski - 8th Place Only
Ferdinand Boleski raises to 40,000 preflop and John McAvoy made it 115,000 from the button. Boleski reraised all in for 272,000 more and McAvoy made, after some deliberation, the call with {Q-Diamonds} {Q-Hearts}.

Boleski could only show {A-Hearts} {J-Clubs} and the queens stayed good on a {10-Clubs} {7-Hearts} {5-Hearts} {5-Diamonds} {3-Diamonds} board. McAvoy is the big chip leader once more with over 800,000

Peterson Doubles

Paul Peterson has doubled through John McAvoy, he pushed from late position with {A-Clubs} {9-Diamonds} and found McAvoy giving him a spin with {10-Clubs} {9-Clubs}, the board was an uneventful one coming {2-Hearts} {5-Hearts} {2-Spades} {6-Spades} {K-Spades} putting Peterson back over the 150,000 mark.

Sammy Porter Out In 9th Place ($7,782)

Sammy Porter - Out in 9th
Sammy Porter - Out in 9th
Sammy Porter moved in from early position for 46,000 and John McAvoy called. Then Bobby Rooney moved all-in behind for an additional 68,000 and McAvoy called the extra.

Porter: {A-Hearts} {8-Diamonds}
Rooney: {J-Diamonds} {J-Hearts}
McAvoy: {A-Clubs} {Q-Diamonds}

The board came {3-Clubs} {2-Hearts} {9-Spades} {J-Spades} {4-Hearts} and Rooney more than doubled up while Porter becomes the first official final table casualty.

Double For Ferdinand

Chips instantly in the middle between Ferdinand Boleski and Bobby Rooney.

Boleski: {J-Clubs} {J-Hearts}
Rooney: {A-Spades} {K-Spades}

{10-Spades} {Q-Hearts} {9-Diamonds} {3-Spades} {4-Hearts} board means Boleski doubles to nearly 400,000 while Rooney drops to just over 100,000
