Duke All In Twice

Annie Duke all smiles for now
Annie Duke all smiles for now
Annie Duke raised under the gun, and Daniel Alaei took his time eying up her stack. He three-bet it, and Duke moved all in for a total of 76,000. Alaei put in the extra 16,000 to put Duke to the test.

Showdown
Duke: {J-Hearts} {J-Diamonds} {8-Hearts} {8-Diamonds}
Alaei: {A-Diamonds} {4-Hearts} {6-Hearts} {10-Spades}

The board ran out {K-Spades} {3-Spades} {K-Diamonds} {2-Diamonds} {6-Clubs}. Duke takes the top have with kings and jacks, while Alaei chops her with a running low hand.

----------

A few hands later, Duke was again all in before the flop, this time tangling with Jacobo Fernandez.

Showdown
Duke: {A-Clubs} {A-Spades} {K-Clubs} {7-Spades}
Fernandez: {9-Clubs} {10-Clubs} {J-Hearts} {Q-Diamonds}

Board: {3-Spades} {7-Diamonds} {3-Diamonds} {10-Diamonds} {Q-Spades}

No chop here; Duke scoops it with her aces up, doubling up over 150,000.

Negreanu Moving Up Fast

Daniel Negreanu was tangled up with John Monnette in a battle of the blinds. The board ran {9-Diamonds} {9-Clubs} {A-Hearts} {8-Hearts} {4-Diamonds}, with Negreanu firing and Monnette calling all the way.

After the last call, Negreanu turned over {9-Spades} {10-Hearts} {2-Spades} {5-Hearts}, scooping up a sizable pot. Negreanu has been all in several times today, but he's on the move, up to 500,000 now!

Precious Koral

Tom Koral opened with a raise from early position, and Daniel Alaei three-bet it down the line. Koral eventually called, and it was heads up.

The first three community cards came {J-Clubs} {J-Hearts} {Q-Hearts}, and both players checked. Fourth street was the {Q-Spades}, and Koral check-called a bet from Alaei. On the river, the {8-Diamonds} drew a check from both players.

Koral tabled {A-Clubs} {A-Diamonds} {5-Diamonds} {7-Hearts}, and Alaei flashed {K-Spades} {K-Clubs} as the pot went to the short-stacked Koral. He's now a little less short-stacked, but still down there with 240,000.

Still Duking It Out

Daniel Alaei raised from early position, and both Annie Duke and Tom Koral called from the blinds.

The flop brought {7-Spades} {A-Diamonds} {6-Hearts}. Annie Duke fired out the first bet and Koral called. When it came to Alaei, he put in a rais, and Annie Duke committed her last 5,000 chips to the pot; all in now and at risk. Koral called as well.

Fourth street came the {5-Clubs}, and both players checked. On the river {K-Spades}, Alaei bet, and Koral eventually called.

Showdown
Alaei: {A-Clubs} {2-Diamonds} {7-Diamonds} {8-Spades}
Duke: {A-Hearts} {K-Hearts} {K-Clubs} {8-Clubs}
Koral: {J-Spades} {J-Diamonds} {6-Diamonds} {6-Clubs}

Koral had flopped bottom set, but Annie Duke had snagged her third king on the river, locking up the top half of the main pot. Koral took the high half of the side pot, and Alaei got both lows.

He Just Doesn't Know When to Say When

Daniel Negreanu has doubled up through Scott Clements. Clements raised to get three-bet by Negreanu and he called to see a {9-Diamonds} {K-Spades} {A-Diamonds} flop. Negreanu bet and was called before all the chips went in on the {Q-Hearts} turn.

Negreanu {A-Spades} {K-Clubs} {7-Spades} {2-Clubs}
Clements {Q-Clubs} {9-Spades} {10-Diamonds} {8-Hearts}

The river came {6-Spades} and Negreanu happily scooped up another pot.

Ville Wahlbeck Eliminated in 13th Place ($31,632)

Ville Wahlbeck - 13th Place
Ville Wahlbeck - 13th Place
Sam Khouiss raised from the button, and John Monnette made the call from the small blind. In the big blind, Ville Wahlbeck raised the additional 7,000 chips he had behind, and both opponents called, putting Wahlbeck in danger.

The board ran out {8-Hearts} {4-Spades} {J-Clubs} {J-Diamonds} {A-Hearts}. Khouiss called a bet from Monnette on the flop and fourth street, and both players checked fifth.

Showdown
Khouiss: {A-Spades} {J-Hearts} {8-Clubs} {6-Clubs}
Monnette: {A-Diamonds} {K-Clubs} {K-Diamonds} {5-Diamonds}
Wahlbeck: {A-Clubs} {Q-Hearts} {Q-Clubs} {7-Hearts}

Wahlbeck couldn't snag either half of the pot, and he has been eliminated in 13th place.
