Khouiss Halved

Daniel Negreanu raised from the button and Sam Khouiss quickly called from the small blind -- heads up to the flop.

It came {8-Diamonds} {A-Diamonds} {A-Spades} and Negreanu bet. Khouiss raised, putting himself all in for a total of 37,000, and Negreanu put him at risk.

"I got the nuts," said Khouiss, tabling {A-Clubs} {8-Clubs} {9-Clubs} {4-Spades}. "Well, I got a low draw," said Negreanu, turning over {A-Hearts} {2-Hearts} {3-Hearts} {3-Spades}.

The turn card got Negreanu half of the pot with the {5-Spades}. Khouiss looked none to pleased as he grunted, "Just like that, huh?" The {8-Hearts} completed the board, and the two men took their money back from the pot.

The Kid Doubles

Daniel Negreanu is refusing to go quietly. He has just managed to double up to 175,000 through Ben Boyd. It was a three way limped pot to a {4-Diamonds} {A-Spades} {3-Clubs} flop. Boyd led out and Negreanu raised. After the third player moved out of the way, Boyd put Negreanu all in and he called.

Neagreanu {2-Hearts} {4-Spades} {7-Spades} {3-Diamonds}
Boyd {K-Hearts} {9-Hearts} {5-Hearts} x

The turn came {6-Spades} and the river {5-Clubs} and Negreanu scooped the lot.

"It's so much fun being on the brink every hand," Daniel Negreanu, Green Section of the Amazon Room. June 09 2009, 1.15pm.

Negreanu All In Again

Ville Wahlbeck opened with a raise, and Ben Boyd called. Action was on Daniel Negreanu, and he said, "All right, I'm all in. Thirty-four." With that, Negreanu was at-risk again. The board ran out {J-Diamonds} {9-Clubs} {4-Hearts} {5-Clubs} {6-Clubs}, with the two live players checking it down.

Showdown
Wahlbeck: {A-Diamonds} {2-Clubs} {5-Diamonds} {8-Diamonds}
Boyd: {A-Hearts} {2-Hearts} {5-Hearts} {8-Hearts}
Negreanu: {K-Hearts} {K-Diamonds} {A-Spades} {5-Spades}

As the dealer split up the pot, Negreanu stood up on his chair and pumped his fists. "I'll take the other half!" Negreanu's still kicking, grinding away like a short-stack guru here as we approach the final table.

Negreanu Gets Nut-Nutted

On a flop showing {6-Hearts} {8-Spades} {7-Hearts}, Daniel Negreanu was heads up with Yueqi Zhu. Negreanu check-called a bet, then did the same on the {4-Hearts} that hit the turn. The river came the {Q-Hearts}, and Zhu fired again.

"Great. I'm gonna get scooped because you made a flush," lamented Negreanu. Then, with a ho-hum sort of lift in his voice, he said, "Well, you can't win every pot, I'll call."

Zhu said, "Nut-nut," turning over {A-Hearts} {9-Hearts} {2-Diamonds} {3-Clubs}. Negreanu knew it, shaking his head and flipping his cards in his hand. He flashed {A-?} {Q-?} {5-?} {4-?} before slapping his cards into the muck.

"I got the nut-nut"

A big three way pot just went down between Scott Clements, John Monnette and Ville Wahlbeck. Monnette raised preflop, Wahlbeck called and Clements three bet from the BB. Both players called and they also called Clements bet on every street until we had a finished board of {8-Spades} {2-Clubs} {Q-Clubs} {5-Clubs} {J-Hearts}.

Clements anounced "Nut-nut" and openend {A-Clubs} {7-Clubs} {3-Diamonds} {2-Spades} to scoop the lot and put him on 650,000.

Ted Lawson Eliminated in 14th Place ($31,632)

Ted Lawson - 14th Place
Ted Lawson has just been eliminated in a three-way pot with Cameron McKinley and Jacobo Fernandez. Lawson got the last of his chips in on the {7-Hearts} {6-Diamonds} {4-Hearts} flop and McKinley joined him all in on the {5-Spades} turn, although he bet all but 2,000 of his chips in the dark.

Lawson {K-Spades} {6-Spades} {J-Hearts} {7-Spades}
McKinley {A-Diamonds} {5-Hearts} {8-Clubs} {8-Hearts}
Ferdandez {K-Hearts} {A-Hearts} {2-Clubs} {A-Spades}

The river came {10-Clubs} to confirm Lawson's exit while the other two halve the pot.

Kid Scooper

Daniel Negreanu opened with a button raise, and Sam Khouiss looked him up from the big blind.

The flop brought out {2-Spades} {6-Diamonds} {J-Clubs}, and both men checked.

Fourth street was the {J-Hearts}, and Khouiss fired a bet at the pot. Negreanu made the call, once again committing the rest of his chips to the pot. The river was the {3-Diamonds}.

Showdown
Negreanu: {A-Hearts} {K-Spades} {4-Spades} {5-Hearts}
Khouiss: {Q-Spades} {7-Hearts} {3-Spades} {2-Clubs}

Daniel could scarcely contain his joy at the sight of his own winning hand. "That's the straight... and the low! Scooper!" After that much needed double up, Negreanu has worked all the way back close to 170,000!

Negreanu Not Done Yet

Ville Wahlbeck raised first into the pot, and both Ben Boyd and Daniel Negreanu called from the blinds.

The flop came {5-Spades} {6-Diamonds} {7-Clubs}. The blinds checked, and Wahlbeck quickly said, "Bet." Boyd called, and Negreanu, looking absolutely pained, said, "All right, I'm gonna call." With that, he put his final 15,000 chips into the pot, his tournament life now in jeopardy.

Both live opponents checked the {3-Spades} on fourth street, and when the {10-Hearts} hit fifth, Boyd led out and was called.

Showdown
Wahlbeck: {A-Hearts} {3-Hearts} {7-Hearts} {K-Diamonds}
Boyd: {A-Clubs} {A-Spades} {5-Diamonds} {9-Clubs}
Negreanu: {2-Spades} {3-Diamonds} {8-Spades} {10-Diamonds}

Negreanu managed to scoop the top half of the pot with his tens up, and the other two players will have to settle for one quarter each, splitting up the low half.
