McInnis Gets Crippled

Craig McConville raised to 110,000 from the button and Steve Karp quickly shoved all in for a total of 580,000 from the small blind. Brian McInnis re-shoved from the big blind, and McConville folded.

Karp showed {K-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds} and was drawing thin against McInnis' {Q-Clubs}{Q-Spades}, but a flop of {J-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{5-Clubs} gave him some additional outs. The {2-Clubs} on the turn provided no help, but the {9-Diamonds} on the river brought the flush, leaving McInnis with just 50,000 at the end of the hand.

Karp's stack now stands at 1.4 million.

Mike Ciotola Doubles Up

Mike Ciotola
Mike Ciotola
Jacob Kalb raised to 80,000 in early position and both James McClain and Mike Ciotola called behind.

On a flop of {6-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}, Kalb shoved all in for 850,000, McClain folded, and Ciotola called, showing {7-Clubs}{7-Diamonds} for a set versus Kalb's {A-Diamonds}{K-Hearts}. Jacks on both the turn and river gave Ciotola a full house and he doubled up to 1.2 million. Kalb is down to just 500,000.

So Much for Tighter Play

Mark Salinaro made it 80,000 to go preflop and got called by Walter Wright in late position.

On a flop of {6-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{K-Hearts}, Salinaro bet 115,000 and Wright raised an additional 150,000. Salinaro three bet, putting out 350,000 more and Wright shoved all in, bringing the hand to an end when Solinaro instantly folded.

Play is Getting Tighter

With just one player needing to be eliminated before the final table, everyone is tightening up their games.

Right now, most pots are being won with preflop raises or three bets, and almost no hand is getting past a flop if we see one.

Mark Salinaro Takes Another Pot

Craig McConville continues to play aggressive, raising to 85,000 from the cutoff. Mark Salinaro reraised to 165,000 from the big blind, and the two went heads up to the flop of {5-Spades}{4-Clubs}{J-Hearts}.

Salinaro bet 290,000 and McConville took just a few seconds before tossing his cards in the muck.

McConville Adds to His Stack

Jacob Kalb raised to 80,000 from middle position and got flat called by Mike Ciotola. Craig McConville reraised to 225,000 from the small blind, pushing Kalb out. Ciotola just flat called.

On a flop of {6-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}, McConville led for 400,000 and Ciotola tanked briefly before mucking his hand. Ciotola is left with just 475,000 while McConville now has 2,850,000.

Mark Salinaro Wins a Hand

Mark Salinaro and Jacob Kalb saw a flop of {K-Hearts}{A-Diamonds}{3-Spades} from the blinds in an unraised pot. After checking, Salinaro bet 45,000 at the {10-Spades} on the turn and Kalb called.

Salinaro bet another 100,000 at the {2-Clubs} on the river and showed {A-Hearts}{6-Spades} for top pair after Kalb called. Kalb mucked his hand as Salinaro stacked the pot.

10 Players Left

The last 10 players have consolidated at a single table. Here are their positions and chip counts.

Seat 5 - James McClain - 550,000
Seat 6 - Walter Wright - 1,800,000
Seat 7 - Mike Ciotola - 820,000
Seat 8 - Kam Low - 560,000
Seat 9 - Travis Johnson - 2,050,000
Seat 10 - Craig McConville - 2,470,000

We will play down to 9 players before heading on a dinner break before the final table.

Gary Tang Eliminated

Travis Johnson raised to 78,000 from middle position and Gary Tang reraised another 100,000 on top. Johnson shoved and Tang made the instant call with pocket kings. Johnson showed {A-Hearts}{9-Hearts}.

The flop of {3-Hearts}{5-Spades}{4-Hearts} gave Johnson the nut flush draw, which he hit when the {6-Hearts} came on the turn. A meaningless {3-Clubs} sent Tang to the rail and put Johnson at 2,050,000.
