Hand #39: Jason Young

Simon Watt has the button in Seat 9.

David Randall raises to 90,000 from the cutoff. Jason Young and Michael Smith call from the blinds.

The flop falls {J-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}{7-Hearts} and Young leads for 130,000. Smith folds and Randall calls.

Young and Randall both check the {A-Clubs} on the turn, but Young leads for 250,000 after the {K-Hearts} rivers. Randall tanks for a bit before folding, and the pot is awarded to Young.

Marvin Rettenmaier Eliminated in 7th Place ($78,681)

Hand #37:

Austin McCormick has the button in Seat 5.

Marvin Rettenmaier moves all in from the hijack seat for 455,000. The table folds to the big blind, and Simon Watt quickly makes the call to put his opponent at risk.

Showdown
Rettenmaier: {6-Clubs} {7-Clubs}
Watt: {A-Diamonds} {10-Spades}

The flop is tasty treats for both players as it comes down {7-Hearts} {8-Hearts} {9-Diamonds} to pull Rettenmaier into the lead. He's not out of the woods yet though, as Watt is now working open-ended for the knockout.

The turn is a safe {3-Diamonds}, and the tensions rise as Rettenmaier stands behind his chair.

River: {J-Spades}!

That's a straight for Watt, and he rallies to knock off Rettenmaier in 7th place. He'll pocket $78,681 for his work over the past three days, but his bid for his first bracelet falls just a few places short.

Watt is now up to about 2.5 million.

Hand #36: Jason Young

Tom Dwan has the button in Seat 4.

Jason Young raises to 90,000 in middle position, and Dwan shoots him a sideways glance as he squeezes his cards. And then another. And another. Dwan really eyes up Young before he finally folds, the blinds get out of the way too, and Young takes it down.

Hand #35: Smith Doubles

Marvin Rettenmaier has the button in Seat 3.

David Randall raises to 90,000 from under the gun and action folds to Michael Smith who moves all in for 380,000 from the cutoff. Action folds back to Randall who makes the call.

Showdown
Michael Smith{A-Clubs}{Q-Clubs}
David Randall {J-Clubs}{10-Spades}

The rail moves towards the table because the TV's are momentarily out, and the flop falls {3-Clubs}{A-Diamonds}{10-Clubs} giving Smith a leading pair of aces and a flush draw.

The turn is the {J-Hearts} however, and Randall steals the lead momentarily.

The rail is silent in anticipation, but explodes when the {K-Clubs} rivers giving Smith the winning flush!

Smith doubles to 775,000 chips and Randall slips to 1,700,000 chips.

Hand #34: Dwan Turns Two

Michael Smith has the button in Seat 2.

Austin McCormick limps in under the gun, and Smith calls as well. Marvin Rettenmaier folds his small blind, and Tom Dwan knocks the table for a free flop from the big.

It comes {Q-Diamonds} {10-Spades} {A-Clubs}, and Dwan checks. McCormick and Smith follow suit, and the turn comes the {6-Clubs}. Dwan leads out with a bet of 115,000, McCormick calls, and Smith does so as well to put a pretty sizable pot in the middle of the table with one card to come.

The last card off is the {8-Diamonds}, and Dwan takes his pause for a moment. Eventually, he loads the catapult again and lobs out a bet of 270,000. McCormick takes his time debating before releasing his hand, and now it's Smith's turn in the tank. He takes about two minutes to deliberate before splashing in the calling chips.

Dwan turns over {6-Diamonds} {10-Diamonds} for two pair, and Smith can't beat it. He puts his cards in the muck, and Dwan has retaken the chip lead with very close to 3 million.

Smith is down to just 380,000.

Hand #32: Randall Playing Table Captain

Simon Watt has the button in Seat 9.

Austin McCormick raises to 95,000, and David Randall reraises to 235,000 straight. The table folds back to McCormick, and he pulls the neck of his hoodie up over his mouth as he mulls over the decision. After just about 20 or 30 seconds, though, he decides a fold is in order, and Randall takes it down with that three-bet.
