The game switched back to hold'em at Table 316 and immediately caused problems for Dan Makowsky. Chad Brown raised the button before Makowsky, in the small blind, made it three bets. Brown called.
Makowsky continued on the flop and the turn. Brown called each bet, then fired a bet of his own when Makowsky checked the river. Makowsky called but couldn't beat Brown's two pair, kings and eights, . The hand seemed to steam Makowsky. He slammed sme of his chips onto the felt, then got up and took a short walk away from the table to stare out over the Amazon Room.
John Juanda completed, Phil Ivey raised and Ryan Hughes made the call. Juanda also came along to fourth street.
Hughes took the lead on fourth, Juanda stepped aside, but Ivey made the call. Hughes continued to fire on fifth, sixth and seventh with Ivey calling him down reluctantly.

Hughes showed down two pair which was good as Ivey sighed and mucked. Hughes extends his lead to 740,000 with Ivey slipping back down to 120,000.
Stud is treating Chad Brown a little better this time around. He completed third street and was called by Dan Makowsky and by bring-in Ken Aldridge. Brown checked the lead to Makowsky on fourth street. Makowsky's bet was called by Aldridge and Brown in turn.
Brown still had the best board but checked fifth street. This time Makowsky's bet folded Aldridge, but Brown stuck around long enough to call all in on sixth street. Makowsky had made tens and sixes, but Brown showed aces and deuces. Each player bricked the river.
We came to Phil Ivey's table as he was pondering a decision on fifth street. Ryan Hughes bet the low board. Ivey then asked the dealer, "What's the next hand?" The dealer replied that the game would change to stud.
Ivey then called the bet and caught a baby on sixth street. Hughes bricked but bet anyway, then called Ivey's all-in raise. Ivey opened a made 8, but had to sweat against Hughes drawing into a 7. Hughes bricked out to double up Ivey to 290,000.
Jeff Lisandro caught the bring-in, then called after Chad Brown completed from late position. Brown bet fourth street, then moved all in on fifth street. Lisandro called both times. Brown turned up a made 10, which held through the river to give him a double-up to 170,000.
Bill Chen limped in with a before John Juanda completed. Yuebin Guo thought for a moment before raising all in for his last 27,000 with Juanda the only one to call.
