"And He Takes the Blinds and Antes"

We've been watching a series of all-in preflop raises with no calls over the last few hands, with Adam White and Pekka Ikonen being the most recent beneficiaries.

With blinds 20,000/40,000 and 5,000 antes at our still nine-handed table, a preflop raise with no takers nets a player a 100,000-chip addition to his stack.

Pekka Picks Up Pot

Wenlong Jin opened for 90,000 from under the gun and it folded to Pekka Ikonen who reraised all in for 400,000 from middle position.

The others got out, and Jin quickly folded as well. Ikonen moves to 590,000, and Jin down to 730,000.

As the Crowe Flies

Owen Crowe opened for 95,000 from middle position, and it folded to Allan B?kke who called from the big blind.

The flop came {6-Spades}{7-Hearts}{7-Clubs}. B?kke checked, Crowe continued for 135,000, and B?kke took a moment then folded.

Crowe is up over 2.1 million and continues to challenge Shawn Busse for the chip lead. B?kke now has about 755,000.

Jin Jumps Up

Adam White raised to 75,000 from early position, and Wenlong Jin, sitting to White's left, reraised all in for 394,000 total. The table folded back around to White who made the call, tabling {7-Hearts}{7-Spades}. Jin turned over {Q-Spades}{Q-Clubs}.

The best starting hand held, as the community cards came {9-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{10-Spades}{2-Hearts}, and Jin doubled to about 800,000. Meanwhile, White is now the table's short stack with less than 150,000.

B?kke Over Ikonen

Allan B?kke raised to 70,000 from the cutoff and got one caller in Pekka Iknonen from the big blind. The flop came all diamonds -- {9-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds} -- and Ikonen quickly checked. B?kke continued for 80,000, and Ikonen let it go.

With about 20 minutes to go in the level, B?kke has about 900,000 and Ikonen 750,000.
