Gregorich Wins the Family Pot

Omaha-8

Five players saw a flop of {6-Hearts}{4-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}, including Norman Chad, Mike Krescanko, Tom Schneider, Joe Weinberger, and Mark Gregorich. The action checked to Gregorich, who was last to act, and he bet.

Chad jokingly scolded him before calling, and then Krescanko, Schneider, and Weinberger called as well. The turn was the {q-Clubs}, and the action checked to Schneider, who bet. All four players behind him called.

"You guys want to just take your bets back?" Schneider joked. "I thought I'd get at least one of you to fold."

The {j-Hearts} completed the board, and the action checked to Gregorich who bet. Only Schneider called this time, and Gregorich tabled {a-Hearts}{7-Spades}{5-Hearts}{3-Diamonds} for an ace-high flush.

He raked in the massive pot, and is now flirting with a 300K stack.

The Wheel Turns Schneider's Way

Omaha-8

In one of the last hands of the previous level, George Danzer opened from middle position and got two callers in Mike Krescanko (button) and Tom Schneider (small blind).

The flop came {5-Clubs}{3-Clubs}{Q-Spades}. It checked to Danzer who bet, and both of his opponents called. The turn was the {A-Spades}. This time it checked around to Krescanko who bet, Schneider called, and Danzer stepped aside.

The river was the {7-Diamonds}, and now it was Schneider taking a turn at leading with a bet. Krescanko called, Schneider turned over {8-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{2-Diamonds} for a wheel, and Krescanko mucked.

Allen Bari Eliminated in 20th Place ($6,884)

Stud-8

After being crippled in that hand versus Brandon Guss, Allen Bari was soon all in versus Daniel Ratigan.

We picked up the action on fourth street after the players had already tabled their down cards. Bari showed {8-Hearts}{2-Clubs}{4-Spades}{10-Hearts} while Ratigan had {J-Spades}{A-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs}{J-Clubs}.

Bari then drew {K-Hearts}{J-Diamonds}{3-Clubs} to end with king-high and no low. Ratigan picked up the {Q-Diamonds} and the {K-Spades} to make two pair by sixth, making his last card no matter.

"You Got It"

Stud-8

Allen Bari{x-}{x-} / {7-Spades}{j-Spades}{q-Diamonds}{k-Spades} / {x-}
Brandon Guss{x-}{x-} / {a-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}{9-Hearts} / {x-}

On sixth street, Guss checked to Bari, who bet. Guss tank-called, and both players received a down card. Guss checked, and Bari fired another bet. Guss tanked again, counting down what was left of his stack, and committed the majority of it with a call.

"You got it," Bari muttered.

Guss tabled {a-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{2-Spades} for aces up, winning the pot. Bari was left with just 5,000 chips.

Wong Doubles

Stud-8

After splitting an all in with Joe Weinberger with ace-king-high, Wing Wong found himself all in again - this time against Tom Schneider.

Wong{x-}{x-} / {4-Hearts}{j-Hearts}{8-Spades}{5-Clubs} / {x-}
Schneider{x-}{x-} / {8-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{8-Clubs} / {x-}
George Danzer{x-}{x-} / {6-Hearts}{j-Spades} (FOLDED)

We reached the table on fourth street, where Wong checked, Schneider bet, and Danzer released. Wong called. On fifth, Wong check-raised all in, and Schneider called.

Wong{9-Hearts}{7-Hearts}
Schneider{a-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}

Wong paired his jack on sixth, Schneider his eight, and both players bricked on seventh. Wong doubled with just a pair of jacks, and is now over 100,000 chips.

Anthony Bellino Eliminated in 21st Place ($6,884)

Omaha-8

"How about a scoop this time?" asked a standing Anthony Bellino as he found himself all in before the flop from the big blind versus a couple of opponents.

The flop came {9-Clubs}{Q-Spades}{10-Clubs}, at which Bellino's demeanor immediately became less bright. Yuval Bronshtein bet and had a caller in Tim Burt from the button. The turn then brought the {K-Diamonds}, at the sight of which Bellino turned from the table, saying "Good playing with you, fellas." Bronshtein bet again, Burt raised, and Bronshtein called.

Both remaining players checked the {Q-Hearts} river. Burt tabled {A-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds}{J-Spades}{4-Hearts} for the ace-high straight, Bronshtein mucked, and Bellino came back to show his hand — {6-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds} — four low cards that didn't find community cards to match.

"Somebody pay me!" said the NY Mets-cap wearing Bellino as he walked away with his 21st-place ticket.

Wong Takes Big Hit

Stud-8

Wing Wong{x-}{x-} / {9-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{10-Clubs}{2-Clubs} / {x-}
George Danzer{x-}{x-} / {3-Spades}{2-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{a-Spades} / {x-}

We caught the action on fourth street, where Wong bet out, and Danzer called. Wong led out on fifth and sixth as well, Danzer called both bets, and on seventh, Wong checked. Danzer bet, and Wong reluctantly called.

Danzer tabled {5-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{3-Hearts} for the wheel, and Wong mucked his hand.

The next, Mike Krescanko made broadway against Danzer, and took some of his newfound chips away.

Frazin's Straightens Up Against Moed

Stud-8

"When are we playing Badugi?" So asked Timothy Frazin as the Stud-8 round began.

On the first hand of the round Michael Moed brought it in, Frazin completed, and it folded back to Moed who called. Both checked fourth, then Moed led with bets on fifth and sixth which Frazin called. Moed then checked seventh and called when Frazin bet.

Frazin's up cards had come {6-Spades}{Q-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{9-Hearts}, and he turned over {8-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{5-Diamonds} to show he'd made a straight. Meanwhile Moed's third through sixth streets were {4-Hearts}{J-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{10-Spades}, and he turned over {10-Hearts}{8-Spades}{2-Hearts} for two pair and no low, meaning Frazin scooped.
