Ron Fast Eliminated in 19th Place ($6,900)

Ron Fast
Ron Fast

Omaha Eight or Better

Ron Fast raised pre-flop, the Owais Ahmed three-bet. Dan Heimiller called and Fast also called. The flop was {7-Diamonds}{a-Hearts}{6-Spades}, and Heimiller led out. Fast raised, and Ahmed re-raised. Heimiller called and Fast called for the last of his chips.

The turn was the {2-Clubs}. Ahmed bet, Heimiller raised, and Ahmed called. Then both players checked the {j-Diamonds} river card. Heimiller turned over {3-}{4-}{5-}{5-} a winning low, and Ahmed turned over {a-}{j-}{2-}{7-} for a two-pair and a winning high hand.

Heimiller and Ahmed split the pot, and Fast was eliminated in 19th place for$6,900.

Stewart Yancik
Stewart Yancik

Hold'em

Stewart Yancik raised pre-flop, and Mark Klecan three-bet. Yancik called, and the players saw the flop fall {9-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{10-Diamonds}. Yancik bet out, and Klecan's raise was enough to put Yancik all-in. Yancik called and the players revealed their cards:

Yancik: {a-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}
Klecan: {q-Clubs}{q-Hearts}

Klecan was ahead with his pair of queens, and when the turn and river rolled out {4-Hearts},{4-Diamonds}, Yancik's fate was sealed. He was eliminated in 20th place and will earn ($6,900) for his efforts.

DJK Doubles

Hold'em

We caught Dan Kelly and Frankie O'Dell on a flop of {10-Spades}{j-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}. O'Dell led out, Kelly raised, O'Dell re-raised, and Kelly moved all in for 27,000. O'Dell called.

O'Dell: {8-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}
Kelly: {k-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}

The {q-Hearts} on the turn gave Kelly a leading pair of queens, and the {k-Diamonds} bricked on the river. Kelly doubled to 135,000 chips, while O'Dell fell to 160,000.

John Spadavecchia Eliminated in 21st Place ($6,900)

John Spadavecchia - 21st Place
John Spadavecchia - 21st Place

Hold'em

John Spadavecchia limped in, Tyson Marks completed from the small blind, and Michael Cooper checked his option in the big blind. The dealer fanned {k-}{10-}{q-}, and all three players checked.

The turn was a repeat {10-}, Marks and Cooper both checked, and Spadavecchia fired out a bet. Marks check-raised, Cooper folded, and Spadavecchia called.

The river was a blank, Marks bet enough to put Spadavecchia all in, and he called. Marks showed {k-}{10-} for a full house, and we unfortunately missed Spadavecchia's hand. He is eliminated in 21st place.

Thomas Splits to Stay Alive

Stud Eight or Better

A short-stacked Darin Thomas was all-in on fourth street showing {2-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}. George Rechnitzer ({k-Spades}{5-Clubs}) and Stewart Yancey ({2-Hearts}{6-Spades}) matched his bet. Yancey bet fifth street, drawing a call from Rechnitzer, and both players checked sixth street with the following boards:

Rechnitzer: {k-Spades}{5-Clubs}{a-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}
Yancey: {2-Hearts}{6-Spades}{6-Clubs}{9-Clubs}
Thomas: {2-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}{5-Spades}{4-Spades}

Rechnitzer bet, and Yancey thought for a moment before folding. Thomas showed {4-}{a-}{7-} for a winning low, and Rechnitzer won the high with a pair of kings.

Mark Klecan

Welcome back for Day 3 of Event #15: $1,500 H.O.R.S.E. at the 2013 World Series of Poker. Play continues today with 21 players remaining from a starting field of 862, and they all have their eyes on winning a World Series of Poker Gold Bracelet.

Mark Klecan leads the way with 518,000 in chips after two days of play. He is followed by Eddie Blumenthal (443,000) and Scott Bohlman (382,000). Their place at the top of leaderboard is far from safe, however, as the players who sit 4th, 5th, and 6th in chips are all multiple-bracelet winners. Rep Porter holds 279,000, Tom Schneider has 275,000, and Frankie O’Dell has 271,000. Each of the remaining 21 players is guaranteed a payout of at least $6,900, but they are all looking to the first-place prize of $258,960.

The tournament continues play at 1 p.m local time in Las Vegas, and PokerNews.com will be here to bring you all the action until a winner is crowned.
