George Rechnitzer Eliminated in 9th Place ($16,629)

Level 23
George Rechnitzer - 9th Place.
George Rechnitzer - 9th Place.

Stud Eight or Better

George Rechnitzer got the last of his chips in with an {a-}{2-}{3-}{7-} against Frankie O'Dell. After all of O'Dell's cards were out he'd made just a pair of fives with no low. Rechnitzer, having picked up a {9-} on fifth and paint on sixth, had plenty of outs to survive. Unfortunately, he drew a {10-} to bubble out of the official final table.

Straight Flush for Ortynskiy

Level 23

Stud Eight or Better

The hand started with four-way action. Frankie O'Dell completed, and then Rep Porter, Tom Schneider, and Viatcheslav Ortynskiy all called. The field narrowed on fifth street, however. After Ortynskiy bet, O'Dell and Porter both folded, but Schneider made the call. He called Ortynskiy's bet again on sixth street, an the players received their revier cards with the following boards:

Ortynskiy: {8-Spades}{9-Spades}{10-Spades}{j-Spades}
Schneider: {4-Hearts}{3-Hearts}{2-Clubs}{q-Clubs}

Ortynskiy bet again, and Schneider folded, showing two hidden aces for a missed low draw and a pair he assumed was no good. Ortynskiy reciprocated by showing he had the {q-Spades} for the straight flush before he raked in the pot. He now has 520,000 in chips.

Level 23
Dan Heimiller - 11th Place.
Dan Heimiller - 11th Place.

Stud Eight or Better

Mark Klecan completed with a {k-Diamonds}, and Dan Heimiller called with {q-Diamonds}. Viatcheslav Ortynskiy came along for a discount with {5-Diamonds}. Ortynskiy checked despite pairing his five, and Klecan bet after he caught a {2-Hearts}. Both players called. Klecan bet fifth and six, and the players had the following boards:

Klecan: {k-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}{j-Clubs}{k-Hearts}
Heimiller: {q-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}
Ortynskiy: {5-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{k-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}

Heimiller went deep into the tank before ultimately folding. Ortynskiy folded as well.

The next hand, Heimiller completed after it was folded to him in last position, and Ortynskiy made the call. Heimiller got the last of his chips in, but after all the cards were out Ortynskiy had made two pair to win the pot.

Players have condensed to one table for the unofficial final table.
