Daniel Negreanu Eliminated in 9th Place ($9,014)

Level 22
Daniel Negreanu - 9th Place
Daniel Negreanu - 9th Place

Pot-Limit Omaha

Dan Hemiller made it 15,000 to go from the button and Daniel Negreanu called from the big blind. The two saw a {3-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{6-Spades} flop hit the felt and Negreanu quickly moved all in for his last 28,000. Heimiller called and the hands were turned on their backs.

Heimiller: {A-Spades}{A-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{5-Hearts}
Negreanu: {A-Clubs}{K-Spades}{Q-Hearts}{8-Spades}

Heimiller's aces were in the lead and stayed that way through the {2-Diamonds} on the turn and the {9-Diamonds} on the river. Negreanu was eliminated in 9th place and his elimination prompted the field to re-draw to the unofficial final table of eight. A seating chart and official chip counts will be made available momentarily.

Level 22

Pot-Limit Omaha

Daniel Negreanu made it 10,000 from the cutoff and Dan Heimiller flatted from the small blind. The flop came down {2-Spades}{4-Spades}{J-Hearts} and Heimiller led for a pot-sized bet. Negreanu re-potted and Heimiller called all in for 65,000 total.

Heimiller: {A-Clubs}{J-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}
Negreanu: {K-Spades}{8-Hearts}{6-Spades}{4-Hearts}

Chidwick's Jack is Better

Level 22

2-7 Triple Draw

Stephen Chidwick was in the cutoff and came out with a raise. The button folded and Bruce Yamron made it three bets from the small blind. Chidwick four-bet the action and Yamron called.

On the first draw, each player pulled one new card and the action went check-check. They each took one again on the second draw and Yamron tapped the table once more. Chidwick fired out and Yamron called. Yamron exchanged one card on the final draw while Chidwick stood pat. Both players checked the final betting round.

"Jack," said Yamron.

Chidwick sat motionless until Yamron tabled {J-}{8-}{7-} for a jack-eight. At that, Chidwick rolled over {J-}{7-}{6-}{5-}{2-} for a better jack and the win. Chidwick took down the pot and now has about 360,000 while Yamron's stack has dropped to about 30,000.
