Srinivasan Triples Up

Level 35 : 120,000/240,000, 40,000 ante
Shyam Srinivasan
Shyam Srinivasan

Shyam Srinivasan raised to 500,000 from the cutoff. Michael Benko moved all in from the cutoff. Raul Manzanares was in the big blind and moved all in. Srinivasan snap-called.

Shyam Srinivasan: {q-Diamonds}{q-Spades}
Michael Benko: {a-Clubs}{k-Spades}
Raul Manzanares: {a-Spades}{q-Clubs}

Srinivasan was ahead and was pleading with the poker gods to not hand him yet another brutal bad beat this deep in the tournament. The flop came {10-Hearts}{j-Spades}{8-Hearts} giving Manzanares a gutshot. The turn was the {6-Clubs} and the river the {j-Hearts} as Srinivasan tripled up, with Benko winning a small side pot from Manzanares.

Nguyen and Chen Double Before Break

Level 34 : 100,000/200,000, 30,000 ante

James Carroll opened to 450,000 from early position and Jimmy Chen shipped all in for 2,400,000 from the big blind. Carroll made the call and tabled {9-Spades}{9-Clubs} against Chen's {a-Clubs}{k-Spades}. The flop came {k-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{6-Clubs} and Chen took the lead by pairing his king. The turn was the {q-Clubs} and the river was the {q-Spades} as Chen earned himself a double-up.

At the other table, Shyam Srinivasan raised to 450,000 from early position and Tommy Nguyen called from the big blind. The flop came {9-Hearts}{6-Spades}{3-Clubs} and Nguyen check-called a bet of 300,000 from Srinivasan.

The turn was the {4-Diamonds} and Nguyen checked again. Srinivasan splashed in a bet of 800,000 and Nguyen check-raised all in for 2,825,000. Srinivasan tossed in a single chip to signify a call and tabled {a-Spades}{a-Hearts}. Nguyen showed {9-Spades}{5-Spades} for a pair and a straight draw.

The river was the {7-Hearts} and Nguyen completed his straight to send Srinivasan into a frenzy. "Are you fucking kidding me?!" he yelled to his friend on the rail. Srinivasan threw his hat on the ground and his backpack into the hallway as Nguyen stacked the chips.

The remaining players are taking a 15-minute break in the action.

Colin McHugh Eliminated in 14th Place ($56,551)

Level 34 : 100,000/200,000, 30,000 ante
Colin McHugh
Colin McHugh

Colin McHugh moved all in for 1,360,000 from the cutoff. It folded to Tommy Nguyen in the small blind who asked for a count and appeared to be wrestling with his decision. Eventually, he called and Shyam Srinivasan folded his big blind.

Colin McHugh: {k-Clubs}{5-Clubs}
Tommy Nguyen: {a-Spades}{6-Hearts}

Nguyen fist-pumped the air as he celebrated making the right call. The flop {a-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{5-Spades} gave him two pair, and there was no miracle on the {8-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds} run out, meaning McHugh was sent to the rail in 14th place.

James Carroll: {10-Diamonds}{10-Spades}
Jimmy Chen: {k-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}

"I have one over," said Chen as he turned his cards over. In the end, he only needed one over as the board came {k-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}{2-Hearts} with his king connecting and doubling him up.

Level 34 : 100,000/200,000, 30,000 ante
David Neiman
David Neiman

Daniel Neiman was one of the shorter stacks for the better part of the day, patiently waiting to find a spot where he could double up. When the action was folded to him in the hijack, Neiman moved all in for 1,585,000. Raul Manzanares made the call from the big blind and had Neiman in a world of trouble.

Raul Manzanares: {a-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}
Daniel Neiman: {a-Hearts}{7-Hearts}

The flop came {k-Hearts}{10-Clubs}{5-Clubs}, giving Manzanares a pair of tens and a commanding lead in the hand. The {6-Hearts} on the turn gave Neiman a flush draw, but the {k-Spades} on the river bricked as he was eliminated in 15th place.

Corbett Takes It on the Turn

Level 34 : 100,000/200,000, 30,000 ante

Rittie Chuaprasert raised it up to 425,000 from the cutoff and Daniel Corbett defended his big blind. The flop fell {q-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{6-Diamonds} and Corbett checked to Chuaprasert who continued for 500,000. Corbett check-raised to 1,300,000 but Chuaprasert still called.

The turn brought the {j-Clubs} and Corbett tossed in a bet of 1,825,000. Chuaprasert thought for a minute and then asked Corbett if he would show after he folded. Corbett sat silently and Chuaprasert flashed the {q-Spades} before sending his cards to the muck.
