Abrams Clawing Back

Level 35

Limit Omaha 8 or Better

Bradley Anderson limped from the button and Abrams raised from the big blind. Anderson made the call

Anderson bet on the {5-Spades}{4-Hearts}{3-Spades} flop, which was called by Abrams. The {a-Spades} landed on the turn and Abrams bet which was called by Anderson. The {3-Clubs} completed the board and Abrams bet once more, Anderson called and announced flush.

Abrams tabled {a-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{3-Diamonds} for a boat of threes full of aces and took the low with {6-}{5-}{4-}{3-}{a-} to scoop the pot.

Abrams Doubles Up in Unlikely Fashion

Pot-Limit Omaha 8 or Better

On a flop of {7-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{7-Clubs}, Scott Abrams faced a pot-sized bet of 900,000 from Bradley Anderson. Abrams chose to go with his hand and moved all in for over 2,200,000. Anderson called and was on the verge of victory.

Scott Abrams: {10-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{4-Spades}{2-Diamonds}
Bradley Anderson: {a-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{2-Hearts}

"I need help," said Abrams as his low draw wasn't as good as Anderson's and he trailed his ace-high as well.

"That'll help," said Abrams as the {5-Spades} rolled off on the turn to give Abrams an eight-high straight.

Things got even better for him as the {a-Clubs} fell on the river to counterfeit Anderson's low as well and give Abrams the full pot for a critical double-up.

Anderson on Verge of Victory; Abrams Hanging On

Level 34

Big O

While Scott Abrams has improved on his third-place finish from last year, his quest to win the tournament is in dire straits.

After he called a pot-sized preflop raise to 360,000 from Bradley Anderson, the duo saw a flop of {q-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{9-Clubs}.

Abrams then bet the pot (860,000) and was called by Anderson.

On the turn {6-Spades}, both players checked, but after Abrams checked the {9-Diamonds} river, Anderson bet the pot, which was more than Abrams' remaining 1,150,000 chips.

Abrams gave his decision plenty of thought, focusing intently, with the excitement of the WSOP Main Event bubble about to burst around him, then chose to fold and preserve his remaining chips.

"It's going to make the comeback that much more epic," said Abrams as he prepared for the next hand.

Barny Boatman Eliminated in 3rd Place ($83,050)

Level 34
Barny Boatman
Barny Boatman

Limit Omaha 8 or Better

Barny Boatman, who lost a chunk of his stack two hands previously to Bradley Anderson, bet from the button and was called by Scott Abrams in the small blind.

Anderson in the big blind raised, Boatman called to go all in and Abrams called too which created a main pot of 1,240,000 and a side pot of 260,000.

The flop of {k-Clubs}{q-Hearts}{9-Diamonds} was checked by Anderson and Abrams. The {q-Spades} turn saw Abrams bet and was quickly raised by Anderson. Abrams folded and Anderson was immediately given the side-pot.

Barny Boatman: {a-Spades}{9-Clubs}{8-Spades}{5-Diamonds}
Bradley Anderson: {a-Hearts}{k-Spades}{q-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}

Boatman was drawing dead as Anderson turned a full house. The inconsequential {a-Clubs} on the river completed the board. Anderson has a massive chip advantage going into heads-up whilst Boatman received an embrace from his rail for his valiant third-place finish.

Boatman Ready To Get It In

Level 34

Pot-Limit Omaha 8 or Better

Barny Boatman is the table's short stack and he's shown he's not afraid to get it in when possible.

After he raised to 275,000 on the button and was called by chipleader Bradley Anderson in the big blind, Boatman bet the pot (730,000) on a {5-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{2-Hearts} flop after Anderson checked to him.

Anderson folded to send a small pot to Boatman, as small pots have been traded back and forth between the players since returning from break.

Boatman Doubles Through Anderson

Level 34

Limit Omaha 8 or Better

Barny Boatman bet from the button and was called by Bradley Anderson in the big blind.

Boatman bet on the flop of {j-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}. Anderson raised and Boatman called to go all in.

Barny Boatman: {a-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{2-Spades}
Bradley Anderson: {a-Hearts}{j-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{3-Clubs}

Boatman was open-ended and Anderson had two pair with jacks and sixes.

The {8-Hearts} on the turn gave Boatman the straight to the queen and the {k-Clubs} on the river improved Boatman to a straight to the king.

Boatman doubled up and the dream is still alive for a third WSOP bracelet for the British legend.

Anderson Smashing Away With Chip Lead

Level 33
Bradley Anderson
Bradley Anderson

Limit Omaha 8 or Better

Bradley Anderson is using his huge chip lead to his advantage and trying his best to finish off Scott Abrams and Barny Boatman.

After taking a pair of pots in Pot-Limit Omaha 8 or Better with postflop bets, he took down another one multiway in the limit version of the game.

Abrams raised on the button and was called by Anderson in the small blind and Boatman in the big blind.

On the {4-Hearts}{5-Spades}{j-Spades} flop, Anderson checked, Boatman bet, Abrams folded and Anderson called.

The turn came with the {8-Diamonds}, and after checking and receiving another bet from Boatman, Anderson came back with a check-raise.

Boatman took some time but ultimately tossed his cards into the muck, sending another pot to the now overwhelming chip leader.
