Ziyuan Wang

James Williams opened from under the gun and Ziyuan Wang made it three bets from the cutoff. Williams made it four bets to put his opponent all in and at risk and Wang made the call.

Williams drew one on the first draw and then stood pat on the next two while Wang drew one on each street.

Ziyuan Wang: 7x5x4x3x
James Williams: 9x7x6x5x3x

Hughes Gets Aggressive Then Shows Something Unexpected

Level 27

Alexander Freund raised in the cutoff and got called by Ryan Hughes in the big blind. Hughes drew two, while Friund only needed one card.

Hughes checked to Freund, who bet, but then Hughes came with a check-raise. Freund thought briefly then called.

Hughes still needed to draw one while Freund now stood pat.

Hughes checked again and Freund bet once more, but again, Hughes check-raised. Freund thought for about a minute then chose to release his hand.

As the pot was pushed to Hughes he tossed forward the A?, which drew oohs and ahhs from his tablemates to force the fold in the manner he did.

Chip Leader Damm Puts Schneider on the Short Stack

Level 27

Picking action up on the first draw, Tom Schneider drew two from early position while Josh Damm took three on the button.

Schneider then check-called a bet from Damm from his dwindling stack. The former WSOP Player of the Year still needed two cards, while Damm only took one.

Schneider then check-called another bet before the final draw, where each player needed one card.

Schneider now led out, leaving himself just 125,000 behind. Damm called and Schneider showed 8x5x4x4x3x for a bluffed pair of fours.

Damm picked him off with Kx7x6x5x3x for the winner to rocket to well over two million chips.

Hillman Won't Go Down Without a Fight

Level 27
Louis Hillman
Louis Hillman

Louis Hillman bet from the button and received calls from Michael Rodrigues from the small blind and Allen Kessler from the big blind. Hillman and Rodrigues each drew two while Kessler drew four.

"I've never done this before" Kessler said as he asked for four on the first draw.

"ICM is for poor people" Patrick Leonard joked from the seat right next to him.

Rodrigues and Kessler checked after the first draw, Hillman bet, and both of his opponents made the call. Hillman stood pat, Rodrigues drew one and Kessler drew two.

After the second draw Kessler and Rodrigues checked again. Hillman bet, Rodrigues called and Kessler folded. Hillman once again stood pat while Rodrigues drew one.

Both players checked with no draws remaining. Hillman showed 8x5x4x3x2x for eight perfect and took it down, once again adding to his stack when he was on the brink of elimination.

"How many double-ups is that?", Josh Damm asked from the next table over.

"That was a triple-up", Hillman replied as he scooped the pot.

Level 26
Charles Tucker
Charles Tucker

Michael Rodrigues raised in the hijack and got three-bet by a short-stacked Charles Tucker in the cutoff. Action folded back to Rodrigues, who just called, leaving Tucker with 30,000 behind.

Each player drew two and after Rodrigues checked, Tucker committed his final chips, which Rodrigues called.

Rodrigues drew one, while Tucker still needed two. On the final draw each drew one then revealed what they were drawing to.

Charles Tucker: 6x4x3x2x/Xx
Michael Rodrigues: 8x7x4x3x/Xx

Rodrigues revealed first, drawing a 9x, meaning Tucker needed any nine, eight, or seven to survive.

Unfortunately for him, he peeled another 4x, eliminating him from the tournament.
