Loucas Survives the River to Stay Alive

Level 18 : Blinds 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

Patrick Mccullough raised to 26,000 in early position and Julien Perouse called in the small blind before Christian Loucas jammed his entire stack into the middle from the big blind. Mccullough quickly got out of the way and Perouse went into the tank.

"How much is it?" Asked Perouse. After the dealer let him know it was 216,000 he thought about it for a bit longer. "Can I show my hand?"

The floor denied the possibility of showing his hand before he made the call.

Christian Loucas: 10?10?
Julien Perouse: 8?8?

Loucas had Perouse dominated as the flop came J?6?4?. The K? was a safe one, even though Loucas still felt uneasy. "That's okay, It'll hit on the river. The river is always my demise."

However, the eight never showed up as the 9? landed on the river for Loucas to collect a full double up.
