Chidwick Wins One from Gulyy

Level 23 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante
Stephen Chidwick
Stephen Chidwick

Stephen Chidwick just put Yury Gulyy to the test in a big pot...

Pre-flop Chidwick made it 35,000 to go from middle position and Gulyy called from the big blind. Both players checked the {3-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}{K-Diamonds} flop and the {3-Hearts} fell on the turn. When it checked to him Chidwick bet 75,000 and Gulyy made the call. The {3-Clubs} completed the board and once more Gulyy checked it over to Chidwick.

The Brit went deep, betting 400,000 which was most of Gulyy's remaining stack - the Russian had 570,000 back - and after trying to get a read on Chidwick by waving at him and getting no luck, Gulyy folded.

Lasell King
Lasell King

Lasell King and Max Silver just clashed in a pot on the feature table.

Pre-flop Silver made it 44,000 from the cut-off, King three-bet to 110,000 and Silver smooth called. On the {A-Hearts}{8-Spades}{4-Diamonds} flop King continued for 100,000 and Silver made the call. On the {Q-Hearts} turn King slowed down, checking it over to Silver, who bet 168,000, call from King.

The {4-Spades} completed the board, both players checked and King's pair of jacks were good, he's up to 1,900,000 and Silver is down to 2,600,000

Aces Versus Kings - Chidwick Busts Roy

Level 23 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante
Jonathan Roy
Jonathan Roy

Dimitri Holdeew opened the action with a raise to 43,000 from the cutoff but that was just the beginning. On the button it was Stephen Chidwick bumping it up to 100,000 and in the small blind Jonathan Roy wasn't so fast with making his decision. He thought about it for some time, and then cold four betted to 193,000.

Holdeew had a moment of creativity it looked like, but folded anyway. Chidwick announced all in and Roy instantly called. "Oh wow" Roy said, "Shit". Roy's reaction was understandable as his {K-Clubs}{K-Hearts} was facing the one and only better starting hand: Chidwick had {A-Hearts}{A-Clubs}.

The flop brought an ace, making Roy's only chance some rare runner runner: {A-Spades}{10-Hearts}{7-Clubs}. The {K-Diamonds} on the turn gave him one solid out for the win but the last king wouldn't come: {3-Diamonds} on the river.

Sigurd Andreas Eskeland Takes One From Radek Stockner

Level 23 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante

Sigurd Andreas Eskeland and Radek Stockner have been battling a fair bit in the last hour so it's probably a good thing that they're separated by the dealer.

So far it's Eskeland who's been getting the better of it and he just won the biggest pot they've played so far. He raised from the cut-off and then called when Stockner three-bet from the button. On the {8-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{4-Clubs} flop Stockner continuation bet 132,000 and Eskeland made the call. The {10-Diamonds} turn was checked through and the {K-Diamonds} hit the river. First to act Eskeland led for 160,000 and after a long time in the think tank Stockner folded. He's down to 580,000 whilst Eskeland is up to 930,000.

Tomasz Kowalski Doubles Through Julian Track

Level 23 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante

After a raise to 40,000 from Ka Kwan Lau, Julian Track flat called on the button and Tomasz Kowalski then moved all-in from the small blind for 418,000. Back on Lau he folded but Track requested a count and then made the call.

Track: {6-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}
Kowalski: {10-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}

The flop came {K-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{6-Spades} so both made a set, but it was the {6-Spades} that was the window card meaning Kowalski thought he was all but out for a split second. The {8-Clubs} and {J-Diamonds} completed the board and Kowalski doubled up to around 860,000 and Track dropped to 1,600,000

Georgescu is now short
Georgescu is now short

On a {2-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{8-Hearts} three players checked to Tiberu-Florian Georgescu. The Romanian player made it 95,000 and just Stephen Chidwick in the small blind made the call, the other two players folded. Both players checked the {9-Clubs} on the turn and the dealer had to go straight to dealing the river: {9-Spades}. Chidwick bet 175,000 and after some thinking Georgescu made the call.

Chidwick showed a missed straight draw but a made runner runner with his {9-Hearts}{7-Hearts}. Tiberu-Florian Georgescu sighed and mucked.

Check out Sarah's interview with Chidwick from earlier today.
