Di Giacomo Out-Kicks Plum

Level 31 : 60,000/120,000, 120,000 ante

Mikkel Plum raised to 250,000 on the button and Claudio Di Giacomo shoved all in for 1,020,000 in the small blind. Plum quickly called and Di Giacomo was at risk.

Claudio Di Giacomo: {a-Hearts}{j-Hearts}
Mikkel Plum: {a-Spades}{10-Hearts}

Di Giacomo was in a dominating position and the flop of {8-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{4-Hearts} also gave him a flush draw. He wouldn't need it on the {2-Clubs} and {9-Diamonds} runout as he out-kicked Plum for a double up.

Manuel Fritz
Manuel Fritz

Pot-Limit Omaha

Moncef Karoui opened to 250,000 from under the gun and was called by Mikkel Plum on the button and Claudio Di Giacomo in the small blind. Manuel Fritz pushed all in for his last 345,000 in the big blind and all three players called.

The flop came {k-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds} and the action checked around to the {10-Diamonds} on the turn. Karoui was the first to make a bet of 325,000 which got Plum to fold but Giacomo called.

The river was the {10-Hearts} and both players checked. Di Giacomo showed {k-Spades}{4-Spades} for two pair and Fritz had {a-Diamonds}{10-Spades} for trip tens. However, Karoui turned over {9-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{6-Diamonds} for a flush and Fritz was eliminated.

Fahredin Mustafov
Fahredin Mustafov

Moncef Karoui raised it up from middle position and Fahredin Mustafov shipped all in for around 700,000 in the big blind. Karoui snap-called and Mustafov was at risk.

Fahredin Mustafov: {a-Hearts}{9-Spades}
Moncef Karoui: {j-Spades}{j-Hearts}

The flop came {9-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{5-Clubs} and Mustafov picked up a pair of nines but he was still trailing the jacks of Karoui. The {10-Clubs} on the turn and the {8-Diamonds} on the river provided no additional help and Mustafov was eliminated.

Level 30 : 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante

Mikkel Plum raised to 230,000 from under the gun and Moncef Karoui shoved all in from the hijack. The action folded back to Plum who quickly called off his stack of 1,410,000.

Mikkel Plum: {k-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}
Moncef Karoui: {a-Hearts}{j-Clubs}

The board ran out {q-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}{2-Hearts} and Plum's pocket kings held on for a double up, getting most of his chips back.

Newhof and Karoui Double Through Plum

Level 30 : 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante

No-Limit Hold'em

In one hand, Carter Newhof shoved all in for 835,000 in the cutoff with {a-Spades}{9-Clubs} and Mikkel Plum called in the big blind with {q-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}. An ace-high board meant Newhof would double up through Plum.

A couple of hands later, Moncef Karoui opened to 250,000 in early position and Plum shoved all in on the button. Karoui quickly called off his stack of 1,795,000 and held the preflop lead.

Karoui held {k-Spades}{k-Hearts} while Plum was in tough with {j-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}. The board ran out {10-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{3-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{8-Clubs} and Karoui scored a huge double up into the chip lead.

Plum Gets a Four-Bet Through

Level 30 : 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante

Pot-Limit Omaha

Mikkel Plum opened to 350,000 from under the gun and Stanislav Koleno three-bet to 1,200,000 in the cutoff. The action was back on Plum who shoved all in for 2,440,000.

Koleno asked for a count and then went into the tank for a couple of minutes. He agonized for most of that time and finally showed {a-Hearts}{k-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}{j-Hearts} as he slid his cards to the muck. Plum conveniently showed his {a-Spades}{a-Diamonds} as he dragged in the pot.

Mustafov Doubles to Stay Alive Before Break

Level 29 : 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante

Pot-Limit Omaha

Fahredin Mustafov raised to 280,000 in middle position and Moncef Karoui re-raised from the big blind. Mustafov called off his stack of 350,000 and the cards were tabled.

Fahredin Mustafov: {q-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{7-Spades}{5-Diamonds}
Moncef Karoui: {k-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{4-Hearts}

The flop came {7-Clubs}{5-Spades}{2-Hearts} and Mustafov picked up two pair to take the lead. The {6-Hearts} on the turn gave Karoui a flush draw but the {6-Clubs} on the river ensured Mustafov of a double up.

The players are now heading on their first 15-minute break of the day.
