Another Double Knockout for Klostermeier

Level 14 : 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante
Maximilian Klostermeier
Maximilian Klostermeier

The cards were already on their backs as Maximilian Klostermeier had two players at risk in Gergo Nagy and Denys Fedorenko.

Gergo Nagy: {a-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{3-Clubs}
Denys Fedorenko: {a-Spades}{a-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{3-Spades}
Maximilian Klostermeier: {k-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{5-Diamonds}

On a board of {9-Clubs}{5-Spades}{2-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}{q-Spades}, Klostermeier prevailed with two pair, kings and nines, and that reduced the field to the last 33 players. The chips of all three players had gone in after the flop with Klostermeier holding the top two pair.

Karakitukov Hits One Million

Level 14 : 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

Maximilian Klostermeier has dropped below the seven-figure stack he brought into Day 2 after tangling with Veselin Karakitukov.

Patrik Jaros opened to 25,000 from middle position and Maximilian Klostermeier before Veselin Karakitukov made it 130,000 from the big blind.

Karakitukov sized down to 65,000 which prompted his opponent to muck his cards.

Binar No More

Level 14 : 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante
Pavel Binar
Pavel Binar

Juergen Pollack raised the pot from an early position and Pavel Binar then moved all-in for Pollack called all-in for 69,000.

Juergen Pollack: {j-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}
Pavel Binar: {a-Clubs}{a-Diamonds}{k-Spades}{3-Hearts}

The {j-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds} flop gave Pollack the nut straight and Binar missed the {q-Hearts} turn and {5-Spades} river to see his stack reduced to crumbs, which he lost shortly after.

Karakitukov Chips Up Against Achegsei

Level 13 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

Veselin Karakitukov raised from the button and called a three-bet to 85,000 by Ahmad Achegsei in the small blind. Both checked the {k-Clubs}{j-Spades}{2-Diamonds} flop and did so again on the {q-Diamonds} turn. The {7-Spades} river completed the board and Achegsei checked once more. Karakitukov now bet 120,000 and Achegsei carefully counted his remaining stack before folding.

One hand later, Tomas Ribeiro sent his short stack over to Patrik Jaros as the field nears the money bubble.

Medarov Above a Million

Level 13 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

Christian Stratmeyer got his stack in before the flop against the red-hot running Vasil Medarov to create the following showdown.

Christian Stratmeyer: {a-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}{5-Spades}
Vasil Medarov: {a-Hearts}{k-Hearts}{j-Spades}{2-Spades}

The {10-Clubs}{7-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}{6-Clubs} board gave Medarov a pair of deuces and that was enough to felt Stratmeyer. One hand later, the final chips of Per Salomonsson were blinded out as the Swede never showed up for the restart.

Klostermeier Above a Million

Level 13 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

Maximilian Klostermeier chipped up further after his {a-Clubs}{k-Hearts}{q-Hearts}{9-Spades} made the "nuts" against Mirnes Vejzovic, who held the {a-Spades}{q-Clubs}{9-Spades}{3-Clubs} for an open-ender on a jack-ten high turn with two hearts.
