The Sunday Briefing: Poorya Nazari Wins PokerStars Sunday 2nd Chance -- Again!
Canada's Poorya "isuckoutonu" Nazari isn't a full-time poker pro. In fact, his last cash in a live poker tournament came in 2009. But when Nazari does find time to hit the tables, he certainly makes the most of it.
Nazari, who won the largest PokerStars Caribbean Adventure (PCA) Main Event ever in 2009 for $3 million, took down the PokerStars Sunday 2nd Chance this week for $47,257. Amazingly, despite playing a limited schedule Nazari has now won that tournament twice in 2013; he also took it down on March 10 for $53,222 .
Joining Nazari in the winner's circle on Sunday was Vojtech "Vojta_R" Ruzicka , who claimed victory PokerStars Bigger $162 . The day's biggest earner, though, was "Agrobot_388Z" who won the PokerStars Sunday Million outright for $224,500.
