Matheus MpZancan Zancan Takes Down WCOOP-25-L: $215 NLHE [8-Max Sunday Slam] for $182,592

The third and final day of the WCOOP-25-L: $215 NLHE [8-Max Sunday Slam] took place on September 8 and it only took 3.5 hours to crown the champion. Brazils Matheus MpZancan Zancan is that champion after he triumphed over 7,176-opponents to bag a most impressive $182,592 for his $215 investment.

Zancans prize would've been in excess of $200,000 but he struck a deal when the tournament was three-handed which flattened the payouts.

Diego El Pulgoso Ostrovich of Argentina was one of those deal makers. Ostrovich crashed out in third-place, but not before ensuring a $119,117 score. The Argentinian benefited the most from the deal because the original third-place prize was worth $101,907.

Ostovichs exit left Zancan and mrlogik of Latvia to lock horns heads-up for the title. The one-on-one battle went Zancans way and he secured a potentially life-changing prize of $182,592. This left his Latvian opponent to reel in the $148,135 consolation prize, not a bad result for three days work.

NoTilit Wins WCOOP-25-M: $2,100 NLHE [8-Max Sunday Slam] for $228,462

The WCOOP-25-M: $2,100 NLHE [8-Max Sunday Slam] also crowned its champion on September 8. This event also saw the top three finishers walk away with six-figure scores, although there was no deal to speak of.

Patrick pads1161 Leonard busted on the final table bubble, paving the way for a prize of at least $25,804 for the surviving players.

Francisco Tomatee Benitez was the grinder to secure this sum and he was joined on the rail by Russias CrazyLissy then Dutch star Pimmss.

Mexico-based Spaniard David davaman Lopez ran out of steam and fell in fifth-place, a finish worth $65,705 before mmetsla of Estonia crashed and burned in fourth for $89,722, which was the last prize not over $100,000.

Nobody would have been surprised if a deal had been struck because the pay jumps were substantial to say the least. There wasnt a deal so Julian nailju90 Stuer, on his second $2,100 bullet, banked $122,520 when his tournament ended abruptly in third.

Christian WATnlos Rudolph and NoTilit of Lithuania faced each other in a battle for the title. Rudolph recently won a WSOP bracelet but he couldnt quite get the job done in this WCOOP event and had to ultimately settle for second-place. Although disappointed not to win, the $167,305 prize Rudolph won will no doubt help soothe the pain of defeat.

Congratulations to "NoTilit" who became a 2020 WCOOP champion, an accolade that came with $228,462 reasons to be happy.
