There’s a new leader atop the $25K Fantasy leaderboard in Team Lady Gaga (Ren Lin) with 166 points, just ahead of Team The Dinkers (Josh Kay) and their 157 points. The former was able to vault into the top spot thanks to Dong Chen hitting the field bonus when he finished 59th in the massive Event #5: $1,000 Mystery Millions for 101 points.
That said, Team Oz has recent WPT Seminole Hard Rock champ Josh Reichard, who finished 21st in the Mystery Millions. His points haven't been calculated yet, but given Team Oz already has 102 points, Reichard’s field bonus score should put them on top. Reichard was the last $25K Fantasy player standing in the tournament, so no more points should be coming out of that event.
However, in Event #10: $10,000 Omaha Hi-Lo 8 or Better Championship (8-Handed) still have a pair of $25K Players among the final four in chip leader Scott Seiver (Team AJ’s Eagles) and Calvin Anderson (Team Sepiol), so big points are going to come from those two.
Event #11: $1,500 Badugi is down to the final 10 players, but none of them are $25K Fantasy players (though David Prociak, who sits second in chips, is one of the ODB $500 Fantasy bonus players). The last $25K Draftee standing in that tournament was Jim Collopy (Team Girl Dads), who finished in 11th place for $8,253. Others who went deep were Kevin Gerhart (Team Sepio – 13th place) and Chris Brewer (Team The Dinkers – 17th place).
In Event #12: $1,500 6-Handed NLH, Alex Foxen (Team Sepiol) Anson Tsang (Team Lady Gaga), Chance Kornuth (Team Livingston) and Landon Tice (Team Wilson) are all still in contention on Day 2, while in Event #13: $10,000 Dealers’ Choice Championship approximately two dozen $25K Fantasy players are among the 68 returning players including seven players in the top ten chip counts. Erick Lindgren (Team Negreanu), Nick Schulman (Team Negreanu), and Phil Ivey (Team Sepiol) are just a few of the players who have plenty of chips.
Poker Hall of Famer John Hennigan may have been the first $25K Draftee to claim a bracelet at the 2024 WSOP, but on Sunday two more joined him in Nick Guagenti (Team Baker) and Bryce Yockey (Team The Dinkers). The former took down Event #9: $1,500 Limit Hold’em for $121,074 and 54 points, while the latter won Event #8: $5,000 Pot-Limit Omaha for a career-best $606,654 and 82 points.
That put Team The Dinkers (owner Josh Kay) way out in front with 155 points thanks to big scores from other team members David Coleman (42 points) and Brian Rast (27 points). That is a good bit about Team Lang and Team Baker, who sit in second and third place with 79 points and 71 points respectively.

For Monday, 26 players will return for Day 3 of Event #10: $10,000 Omaha Hi-Lo 8 or Better Championship including $25K Fantasy players Scott Seiver (Team AJ’s Eagles), Calvin Anderson (Team Sepiol), Shaun Deeb (Team Lady Gaga), Jake Schwartz (Team Oz), John Racener (Team The Dinkers), Robert Mizrachi (Team The Dinkers), John Hennigan (Team AJ’s Eagles), Benny Glaser (Team Sternheimer), Ray Henson (Team Livingston), and Dario Sammartino (Team Girl Dads).
Over 100 players will return for Day 2 of Event #11: $1,500 Badugi including Maksim Pisarenko (Team Baker), Jerry Wong (Team The Dinkers), Nick Guagenti (Team Baker), Alex Livingston (Team Lang), Kevin Gerhart (Team Sepiol), and Yuri Dzivielevski (Team Lady Gaga), among others.
Saturday was a big day at the 2024 WSOP, at least for the $25K Fantasy as Artur Martirosian finished in fourth place in the $25K Heads-Up Championship, good for a league-leading 75 points. That saw Team Lang jump up to 79 points, currently the top score.
Additionally, Poker Hall of Famer John Hennigan became the first $25K Draftee to claim a bracelet at the 2024 WSOP. He took down Event #7: $1,500 Dealer’s Choice for $138,296 and his seventh gold bracelet. In the process got 55 points for Team AJ’s Eagles, which put them in second place with 67 points.
So, what’s in store for Day 6 of the 2024 WSOP? Just 11 players remain in Event #8: $5,000 PLO 8-Handed, and four of them are $25K Fantasy players. Bryce Yockey (Team The Dinkers) is chip leading, while Joao Simao (Team Sternheimer), Brian Rast (Team The Dinkers), and Joao Vieira (Team Noori) are all still in contention. Team The Dinkers currently sits in fourth place with 58 points, so with two players deep in this event, they’re prime to make a big jump and potentially take the league lead.
Just six players remain in Event #9: $1,500 Limit Hold’em (8-Handed), and the only $25K player remaining is Nick Guagenti (Team Baker), who is the chip leader. Only time will tell if Guagenti can win the $121,074 first-place prize and his second gold bracelet.
There are still over 100 players returning for Day 2 of Event #10: $10,000 Omaha Hi-Lo 8 or Better Championship with $25K Fantasy player Scott Seiver (Team AJ’s Eagles) chip leading. Matt Glantz (Team Lucky) is hot on his heels, while other league players remaining include Chino Rheem (Team Negreanu), Josh Arieh (Team TheCoffeeBreakers), Tyler Brown (Team Livingston), Erik Seidel (Team Lucky), and Patrick Leonard (Team Lucky), among others.
The 2024 WSOP is only five days in, but already there have been some moves and shakers in the $25K Fantasy League.
As of this writing, David Coleman is the top point earner with 42 points thanks to a sixth-place finish in Event #1: $5,000 Champions Reunion NLH Freezeout for $69,231. That’s great value for Team The Dinkers (Josh Kay & the Florida crew) as they bought him for just $3 in the draft, meaning Coleman is putting up 14 points per dollar (Pts/$).
Not far behind with 39 points is league commissioner Daniel Negreanu, though his points per dollar is a paltry 0.3 Pts/$. Negreanu, who belongs to Team DPMC (defending champs Donnie Peters and Matt Clark) finished 50th in Event #1: $5,000 Champions Reunion for $9,141 and the following day placed 16th out of 3,485 players in Event #3: $500 WSOP Kickoff NLH Freezeout for $8,541.
The best value of the draft so far is Team Lady Gaga’s (Ren Lin) Qiang Xu, who they bought for a dollar. Xu, who won a bracelet at the 2023 WSOP, has 35 points (35 pts/$.) thanks to 37th-place finish in Event #3 for $4,596.

Team Lady Gaga is out to an early lead in the league with 61 points, though Team The Dinkers are close behind with 58 points. Team DPMC sits with a respectable 39 points, while Team Baker (David “ODB” Baker) is next closest with 17 points. On the other end of the spectrum, a trio of teams sit with a single point, though Team Sepiol (Dan Sepiol) is in dead last with zero points.
In addition to the $25K Fantasy and ODB’s accompanying $500 league that was open to the public, there was a third league – the $2,500 Fantasy run by Mark Gregorich. That draft took place at PokerGO Studio immediately after the $25K draft and attracted 14 teams.
The draft had the same rules as the $25K version, and not surprisingly some of the same players went for a hefty price including Shaun Deeb ($112 to Team Nick G), Daniel Negreanu ($111 to Team Ned Ryerson), Alex Livingston ($111 to Team Mike N), and Yuri Dzivielevski ($105 to Team Oz Gary).
Those four were the only ones to go for over $100, but there were several others who cost a pretty penny including Joao Vieira ($88 to Team MG), Koray Aldermir ($85 to Team Oz Gary), Jeremy Ausmus ($81 to Team Joey C), Josh Arieh ($76 to Team Dan F), Chance Kornuth ($76 to Team Dan F), Phil Hellmuth ($72 to Team Alex L), Benny Glaser ($70 to Team YOLO), and Ben Yu ($70 to Team MG).
The first Saturday of the 2024 World Series of Poker (WSOP) will offer some $25K Fantasy implications starting with the finale of Event #6: $25,000 Heads-Up NLH Championship. The 64-player bracket is down to the final four, and Artur Martirosian of Team Lang is still alive. Just how many points he’ll earn for his team will be determined this afternoon. No other $25K Fantasy players cashed the tournament.
There will also be some major points earned in Event #7: $1,500 Dealer’s Choice (6-Handed), which started with 530 entrants but is now down to the final 10. A pair of $25K Fantasy players are still in contention in John Hennigan (Team AJ’s Eagles) and Shaun Deeb (Team Lady Gaga).
In that tournament, Jeff Madsen finished in 12th place to earn points for Team AJ’s Eagles, while some other players to cash were Jerry Wong (30th place – Team The Dinkers), Chino Rheem (34th place – Team Negreanu), AJ Kelsall (38th place – Team Livingston), Taylor Paur (47th place – Team Noori), Daniel Weinman (55th place – Team Lucky), Julien Martini (56th place – Team Girl Dads), Yingui Li (60th place – Team Lady Gaga), Yueqi Zhu (78th place – Team Kalas), and Dustin Dirksen (80th – Team Girls Dads).
In Event #8: $5,000 PLO 8-Handed, there are still 130 players remaining including a bunch of $25K players including but not limited to Dylan Smith, Anson Tsang, Joao Simao, Bryce Yockey, Anthony Zinno, Joao Vieira, and Chance Kornuth.
Similarly, among the $25K players who made it to Day 2 of Event #9: $1,500 Limit Hold’em (8-Handed) are Renan Bruschi, Nick Guagenti, and Georgios Sotiropoulos.
