Big Fold from Kitai

From middle position, Mario Puccini looked down to see the {4-Hearts}{4-Spades} and raised to 100,000. Davidi Kitai called from the small blind with the {A-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds} and Bahadir Kilickeser called from the big blind with the {A-Spades}{5-Hearts}.

The flop was an action one with the {A-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{4-Clubs} hitting the felt. Kitai checked and Kilickeser bet 100,000. Puccini called. Kitai check-raised to 265,000 and Kilickeser got out of the way after a few moments of thought. Play moved back to Puccini and he reraised to 590,000. Kitai tanked for a bit, then folded.

Kilickeser Gets Some More

Bahadir Kilickeser actually had a decent hand to take down the next pot he played.

He opened from early position and was only called by Csar Garca in position to head to a {5-Hearts}{q-Clubs}{9-Diamonds} flop. Kilickeser continued for 125,000 and Garcia called to see a {6-Clubs} turn card. Kilickeser upped the pressure with a 500,000 bet and that did the job as Garcia folded {a-Clubs}{j-Hearts}. Kilickeser had {k-Diamonds}{q-Spades} for top pair.

Pratyush Buddiga Eliminated in 8th Place (72,000)

Ladies and gentlemen we have our first elimination at the final table. That dubious honour has gone to Pratyush Buddiga.

The American former spelling bee champion opened to 100,000 from under the gun and the action folded around to Bahadir Kilickeser on the button who paused briefly before three-betting to 260,000. This folded out the blinds but Buddiga moved all in for 1,165,000 in total. Kilickeser sat riffling some blue chips before announcing "call" and standing from his seat.

Kilickesr: {A-Spades}{10-Clubs}
Buddiga: {A-Clubs}{Q-Hearts}

Buddiga looked set to double up and this looked even more likely as the flop came down {9-Diamonds}{2-Spades}{6-Spades} but the hand was turned completely around when the {10-Hearts} appeared on the turn. Buddiga needed a queen and only a queen to stay in the EPT Berlin Main Event but it was the {A-Hearts} and with that Buddiga was eliminated in eighth place.

[Removed:287] Flops Best Hand, but Chen Hits River

Level 27 : 25,000/50,000, 5,000 ante

From the hijack seat, [Removed:284] raised to 110,000 with the {Q-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds}. Andrew Chen flatted in the cutoff with the {K-Hearts}{Q-Hearts} and then action fell on Davidi Kitai on the button. He held the {A-Spades}{4-Hearts} and gave it a moment of thought before folding. Everyone else folded and the flop came down {J-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{3-Spades}. [Removed:287] checked and Chen bet 165,000. [Removed:287] called.

The turn brought the {2-Spades} and [Removed:287] checked. Chen opted to check behind and take a free card, which brought him the lead with the {K-Diamonds}. [Removed:287] checked and Chen fired 270,000. [Removed:287] quickly folded and Chen won the pot.
