Midnight came and brought with it a chop.

Canadian Peter Raimondi had drawn about even in chips with Andrew Mosey and collected $11,500, the 2017 Seneca Niagara Falls Summer Slam $1,000 Deep Stack High Roller title, and the trophy.

In the meantime, Andrew Mosey got the better end of the money chop, taking $12,500 for what will officially be recorded as a runner-up finish.

The rest of the remaining field, including Ray Williams, Alex Visbisky, Chris Damick, Guy Klass, and Maurice Sessum, will each take home $8,676.

The event drew 82 entries creating a $73,501 prize pool. In fact, it was just one entry shy of the 2016 Summer Slam High Roller, proving once again the local appetite for single-day events at this buy-in level is a consistently healthy one.

The $1,000 Deep Stack High Roller is now over, but the 2017 Seneca Niagara Falls Summer Slam series continues with the first of four flights in the $50,000 Guaranteed $200 No Limit Hold'em event beginning at 10 a.m. local time Friday.

Tune into PokerNews at that time to follow all the action in the chase for more Seneca Poker glory.

Visbisky Through Mosey

Level 23 : 30,000/60,000, 5,000 ante

Alex Visbisky ripped it in for 450,000 from the small blind over a 150,000-chip open from Andrew Mosey.

Mosey called with two queens and Visbisky needed help with the {a-Spades}{j-Diamonds}. He got all that and more on the {a-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}{5-Spades}{k-Diamonds}{2-Clubs} board to double up.

Andrew Mosey made it 125,000 on the button and Blake Napierala jammed in for 200,000 from the big blind.

Mosey called with the {4-Spades}{4-Clubs} and Napierala was racing for his tournament life with the {a-Clubs}{6-Spades}. The board ran out {j-Clubs}{8-Spades}{5-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} taking Napierala with it.

And then there were eight...

Andrew Mosey has moved on to the top of the leaderboard now.

He took Chris Damick to value town after flopping trip queens with an ace kicker.

In fact, Damick has lost more-than half of a once chip-leading stack over the past 30-minutes in similar situations.

Ten players still remain with the next break just a few minutes away and Mosey now leading a tight pack at the top of the counts.
