Color Up and Break

Level 26 : 12,000/24,000, 4,000 ante

We've reached the end of the level, and the players are off for a break. While they're in recess, the orange T1,000 are coming off the table.

Cavanaugh Takes a Stand

Level 26 : 12,000/24,000, 4,000 ante
Casey Cavanaugh
Casey Cavanaugh

On the last hand of the level, Casey Cavanaugh finally took a stand. He's been awfully card dead today by his own admission. But when Charles Moore opened the button to 85,000, Cavanaugh shoved in from the big blind. It was 469,000 total, and Moore spent some time in the tank. Eventually, he turned the {A-Diamonds} face-up and slid both cards back to the dealer.

Cavanaugh will take it. It's the biggest pot he's won in a good while.

Moore Senses Something

Charles Moore opened to 60,000 from the button, and Stephen Ma came along with him from the small blind.

The flop brought {5-Spades} {Q-Hearts} {5-Hearts} and a check from both men. On the {A-Spades} turn, Ma check-called 110,000 from Moore, and the river {A-Hearts} put two pair on board. When Ma checked a third time, Moore checked it right back.

"I got it," Ma lamented with a frown. He rolled over {A-Diamonds} {7-Diamonds}, and aces full get the job done.

Mark Bonsack Eliminated in 5th Place ($25,127)

Level 26 : 12,000/24,000, 4,000 ante
Mark Bonsack 5th Place

Charles Moore opened the hand with a raise to 80,000 and Mark Bonsack called from the button. The blinds released and the flop came {2-Spades} {J-Hearts} {J-Diamonds}. Moore pushed out 375,000 and Bonsack started scratching his head.

"I've got a pair Woody." Bonsack said. Then he curiously announced a call, only leaving him 120,000 or so behind.

The turn came {A-Diamonds} and Moore pushed enough chips out to put Bonsack all in, and he called.

Moore: {8-Spades} {8-Clubs}
Bonsack: {5-Hearts} {5-Clubs}

Bonsack was drawing only to a five to take the hand. He whiffed when the river fell {K-Clubs}.

James Smith Eliminated in 6th Place ($19,148)

Charles Moore started the action with a raise to 70,000 and James Smith called from the big blind. The flop came {Q-Diamonds} {9-Clubs} {6-Clubs} and Smith led out for 200,000. Moore took a moment, announced raise and put 500,000 chips in the middle. Smith took just a few moments and moved all in. Moore called and the hands were tabled.

Moore: {A-Diamonds} {Q-Spades}
Smith: {Q-Hearts} {J-Clubs}

The board completed {4-Hearts} {8-Diamonds} and Smith was sent to the rail.

Stanko Increases Again

Charles Moore raised to open the pot under the gun then called a three-bet from big blind Scott Stanko.

Stanko checked the {K-Spades} {4-Spades} {9-Clubs} flop, and Moore took his cue to fire out 175,000. Stanko called. The action on the {6-Clubs} turn went check-check, and Stanko saw an opportunity on the {J-Diamonds} river. He stacked 300,000 out into the pot, and Moore grimaced and folded.

One to Stanko

Scott Stanko opened with a raise in early position, and both blinds defended. Stephen Ma was in the small and James Smith in the big.

Three ways, the flop brought {5-Diamonds} {8-Spades} {9-Hearts}, and Ma check-folded. Smith called Stanko's 65,000-chip continuation bet, though, and it was heads-up to the turn. It brought the {2-Diamonds}. When Smith checked again, Stanko took his cue to fire a second bullet worth 135,000. Smith double-checked his cards and grinned.

"I got a real strong club draw," he joked, kicking his cards into the muck.
