Just three days ago, Bill Munley took down $9,729 for his 15th place finish in the $5,000 7 Card Stud event. He's just been spotted sitting to the left of Barbara Enright, making another deep run in a stud event, and he has right around 15,000 chips. We'll see if Bill can put together back-to-back top-20 performances.
John Robertson just scooped a big three-way pot, showing two pair (sevens and deuces), good enough to beat his opponent's nines and busted straight draw. He now has around 17500 chips.
With a pair of nines showing against his opponents queens, Christopher Barnes improved to two pair by the river, taking down another big pot and upping his total to just under 60000.
Heads-up against Mel Judah, Greg Pappas takes down a hefty pot with a bet on the river leaving Mel with 3400 chips, while building his own stack up to 14000.
Earlier we mentioned the matchup of Barbara Enright versus Phil Ivey, in a post titled "Battle of the Sexes." It's official -- the lady wins. Barbara just eliminated Phil from the tournament with two pair (nines and 3threes); Phil failed to make either of his flush and straight draws.
By fifth street, John Robertson had already made aces full of fives. He bet out on every street and was called by a single opponent. He proudly showed his full house after the final round of betting and increased his stack to 14,000.
