Marcel Luske Crippled Again

Omaha-8

A pot between Marcel Luske and Doug Ganger was three-bet preflop. Marcel bet out on the flop and was called.

On the turn with a board of {A-Diamonds} {5-Hearts} {5-Clubs} {Q-Hearts}, Luske bet and was raised by Ganger. Luske made the call.

On the river card of {Q-Clubs}, Ganger bet out once more and was called. Ganger showed {A-Clubs} {A-Spades} {2-?} X for aces full.

After the hand, Luske is down to about 300,000 in chips.

That Round Goes To Voertmann

Hold'em:

Jens Voertmann certainly claimed the honors during that hold'em round. Marcel Luske took a hammering early but fought back, winning one of the last hold'em hands with {A-Clubs}{J-Clubs} on a board of {8-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{J-Hearts} against Voertmann.

Voertmann has the chip lead with about 1.1 million, to Luske's 800,000, with Doug Ganger on the short stack with about 600,000.

Voertmann Wins a Nice Pot

Hold'em:

The betting was capped preflop by accident by Doug Ganger. Jens Voertmann called the bet. Ganger bet all streets to the river where it was checked by both players. Voertmann showed {J-Hearts} {J-Clubs} which was good to win the pot.

After the hand, Voertmann is up to 860,000.

Ganger Scoops

Stud-8:

Marcel Luske led the betting until Doug Ganger raised him on sixth street. Luske made the call on 6th and on the river.

Luske was showing {Q-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{K-Hearts}{K-Clubs} but mucked when Ganger flipped over ({A-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}) {6-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{J-Clubs} for the ace-high flush and eight low to scoop a nice pot just after the break.

Luske falls to under 900,000 while Ganger is now up to about 1.05 million.

Hold On! Let Me Take Your Picture!!

Marcel Luske, Jennifer Harman, Steve Zolotow, and Hoyt Corkins all started this final table. A three-handed matchup for the ages has been going on for over a couple of hours now and with all the action at tonight's table, you wouldn't believe what has gotten the most photograph requests. Since bringing the bracelet out with three players left, the bracelet has probably had several hundred pictures taken of it. People at one point were lining up to take a picture of it. One of the dealers was actually turning the bracelet to different angles so that people could take pictures.
