Hanson Chips Up in Hold'em

Hold'em

John Hanson raised it up from the button and Erik Sagstrom tossed out calling chips from the big blind.

The flop landed {J-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{8-Diamonds} and Sagstrom checked, then called the bet from Hanson.

The turn was the {A-Hearts} and again Sagstrom checked to Hanson who fired a bet. Sagstrom made the call.

The river was the {4-Spades} and both players checked it down. Sagstrom tabled {7-Spades}{10-Spades} for a pair of sevens but Hanson took it down with {J-Clubs}{Q-Spades} for a pair of jacks.

Bach in Action

Hold'em

David Bach completed the small blind, Erik Sagstrom raised from the big blind and Bach made the call.

Bach check-called Sagstrom's bet on the {Q-Hearts} {6-Hearts} {2-Hearts} flop. The turn was the {3-Diamonds} and both players checked. The river was the {10-Hearts}. Bach checked and Sagstrom checked behind.

Bach showed {K-Clubs} {9-Hearts} for the flush and Sagstrom mucked.

Bach Gets in the Double Check-Raise

Stud-8

Sagstrom: (X-X) {2-Hearts}{6-Spades}{5-Spades}{J-Clubs} (X)
Bach: (X-X) (?) {5-Clubs}{Q-Spades}{7-Clubs} (X)

Erik Sagstrom was the bring in with David Bach completing with an unknown picture card. Sagstrom made the call.

On fourth street, Bach checked, Sagstrom bet and Bach raised. Sagstrom made the call.

On fifth, Bach did it again and check-raised for the second time in the hand. Again Sagstrom called.

Bach fired on sixth and seventh, and Sagstrom eventually found a fold on the river.

Hanson Takes It Down with Queens

Stud-8

Hanson (X)(X){4-Clubs} {Q-Hearts} {7-Diamonds} {Q-Clubs}
Sagstrom (X)(X) {10-Spades} {9-Hearts} {9-Spades} {4-Hearts}

John Hanson brought it in and Erik Sagstrom called. Hanson check-raised Sagstrom's bet on fourth street and got a call. Sagstrom led out on fifth with his open pair of nines and Hanson called. Hanson then made a pair of queens on sixth and bet. Sagstrom insta-mucked and Hanson took it down.

A Stud Hand...?

Stud

In the spirit of Gus Hansen commentary, the details of the following hand were sketchy but we giggled none the less.

It appeared that David Bach fired most of the way with John Hanson calling him down, in what was a rather hefty pot. Hanson had a pair of sixes on board but Bach took down the pot with {9-Clubs}{9-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{3-Hearts}{K-Clubs}{4-Hearts} for trip nines.

And with that Gus has given up the mic and returned to regular chip counting duties, as the players take a quick five-minute bathroom break.

Bach Bets Sagstrom Out

Stud

Erik Sagstrom (X)(X){Q-Clubs} {4-Spades} {A-Spades} (?)
David Bach (X)(X) {9-?} {6-Spades} {A-Clubs} {9-?}

Sagstrom completed on third street and Bach called. Sagstrom led out on fourth street, Bach raised and Sagstrom called. Both players checked fifth street when they hit aces. Bach bet his open pair of nines on sixth street, Sagstrom mucked, and Bach took it down.

Hansen Entertaining But...

Whilst Gus Hansen's commentary is most entertaining, especially in his description of the player's hats and their abnormal stacking of chips, it's proving a little difficult to get all of the details of the Stud cards and action. Bear with us folks!

Chip Counter Gets a Promotion

I'm afraid we've had to fire our newest chip counter, as Gus Hansen has taken up a new role as guest final table announcer.

Gus took the mic and explained that he'd never announced before. He wasn't sure if he was allowed to have any favorites as an announcer, but he said he is not-so-secretly cheering for Erik Sagstrom. Not only because he is a friend, but because he has side bets against John Hanson.

Moving On...

Razz

Our last five Razz hands have been uninspiring "complete and take it" affairs where the action has failed to get past third street. Once again Razz has proven to be the tightest game of the evening as the players move on to the greener pastures of Stud.
