2021 WSOP Day 31: Kolev Leads the $10K 6-Handed NLHE Championship

October 30 was the 31st day of the 2021 World Series of Poker (WSOP) in fabulous Las Vegas, Nevada. It was a day that saw two more champions crowned and four other events whittle their fields down to much more manageable numbers.

Shaun Deeb took down Event #53: $25,000 Pot-Limit Omaha for his fifth bracelet and an impressive $1,251,860 addition to his bankroll. Nicholas Julia got his hands on his first WSOP bracelet when he triumphed in Event 54: $2,500 Nine-Game Mix 6-handed.

Kolev Leads Final 19 in the $10,000 6-Handed No-Limit Hold��em Championship

Only 19 remain in Event #56: $10,000 6-Handed No-Limit Hold��em Championship, and it is Bulgaria��s Boris Kolev who leads the race for the tournament��s bracelet and the $721,453 top prize.

Kolev finished with 2,185,000 chips after the day ended, a that saw the vast majority of the 136 returning players hit the rail. The Bulgarian grinder leads from four-time WSOP bracelet winner Asi Moshe (1,980,000), Matt Berkey (1,765,000), Nikita Kuznetsov (1,560,000), and Czech star Vojtech Ruzicka (1,450,000).

Further down the chip counts you find the likes of three-time WSOP champion Ben Yu (995,000), Moldova��s Pavel Plesuv (865,000), Nacho Barbero (695,000),JJ Liu (655,000), Mike Sowers (590,000), and Sam Grafton (535,000).

Play resumes at 2:00 p.m. local time on October 31.

Cummings Has a Massive Chip Lead in the Seniors Championship

Day 3 of Event #52: $1,000 Seniors Championship turned out to be a memorable day of WSOP action as 148 starting players became just 16 after nearly 12 hours of scintillating poker with all remaining players making a huge jump in payouts.

Bagging the overwhelming chip lead at the end of the night was Christopher Cummings who finished with 22,650,000 which is well over double the second largest stack and is one-fifth of the chips remaining. The Houston, TX native emerged as a chip leader in the middle part of the day and just continued to climb from there, eliminating several players.

Second in chips with 9,700,000 was Dennis Jensen who is enjoying quite a successful and fun ride in what he says is his first ever WSOP event.

Right on his heel in third place was Daniel Lujano with 9,325,000.

There is a drop-off from the third place stack to fourth where Eric Sunde sits with 7,325,000 and Todd Hansen rounds out the top five stacks with 7,315,000.

The remaining 16 will return to play on the outer feature tables for Day 4 on Sunday in the Amazon Room at 10 a.m. local time.

Day 1a combined with Day 1b of Event #55: $400 Colossus No-limit Hold'em attracted a whopping 9,399 entrants. The total prize pool is still being worked out but will be available shortly.

The first starting flight attracted 4,217 entrants. There were 632 to make the money but only 484 players advanced to Day 2. Hiep 'David' Tran bagged the chip lead coming back to 1,308,000.

The second starting flight attracted 5,182 entrants. In the last level of the day, 778 players made the money with just 697 to bag. A few players among end of day chip leaders include Frank Flowers (1,217,000), Andrew Heckman (1,000,000), Kao "Flexx" Saechao (994,000), Mikhaile Richards (950,000), and Anant Patel (925,000).

The remaining players combined from each flight will come back for Day 2 tomorrow October 31 at 10:00 a.m. PT at the Rio All-Suite Hotel and Casino. The players will play 15 levels with a duration of 40-minutes. They will have a 15-min break every three levels with a 60-minute break after Level 29 (��7:00 p.m.).

Wong leads From The Front in the $10K Limit 2-7 Triple Draw Championship

After a Day 1 that saw 80 players enter the field, Danny Wong is the chip leader in Event #57: $10,000 Limit 2-7 Lowball Triple Draw Championship at the 2021 World Series of Poker. Late registration closes at the beginning of Sunday's Day 2, which begins at 2 p.m. More players are expected to join the 35 returning runners to compete for the WSOP gold bracelet in this prestigious mixed games event.

Wong returns to Day 2 with the lead in search of his first WSOP gold bracelet. His career-best finish at the WSOP was a run to third place in the 2017 $1,500 Pot-Limit Omaha event and Wong has two cashes so far at the 2021 WSOP.

Several players with big stacks will look to catch Wong tomorrow. Michael Trivett is not far behind after steadily building his stack throughout the day and Shaun Deeb will return among the leaders following his late registration on the heels of winning his fifth bracelet in the $25,000 Pot-Limit Omaha High Roller event. Other players returning with big stacks include Brian Yoon, Matt Valeo, Nathan Gamble, and Aditya Prasetyo.

Daniel Negreanu will return with one of the smaller stacks and will look for an opportunity to spin it up early on Day 2. Phil Hellmuth registered late in the evening, but still bagged just over 100K chips and will return to take his shot at bracelet 17.

Levels will increase to 90-minutes on Day 2 and blinds will start at 2,000/4,000 with limits at 4,000/8,000. Day 2 will play for seven levels with a 60-minute dinner break after Level 14.
