In the 832nd episode of the PokerNews Podcast, Chad Holloway welcomes Daniel Negreanu and David "ODB" Baker to Level 9 Studios in Las Vegas to talk all things fantasy poker. That includes Negreanu's 2024 World Series of Poekr (WSOP) $25K Fantasy, which will host its annual draft at (5 p.m. PT on Monday, May 27 �� PokerNews will live report it here), as well as ODB's $500 buy-in counterpart open to anyone at 25KFantasy.com willing to pay the entry fee.
The trio dives into the history of the draft, which started back in 2011 at Howard Lederer's house, and how it has changed over the years ultimately resulting in a record 20 teams last year! Learn why online events have been struck from consideration, why ODB decided to launch his $500 league and see both winners from past drafts and the league's all-time point earners.
Negreanu and ODB then offer their thoughts on potential draftees including Josh Arieh, Bin Weng, Kristen Foxen, Jeremy Becker, Phil Ivey, and reigning WSOP Main Event champ Daniel Weinman. Finally, hear whether or not the two poker pros think this year's WSOP Main Event will set a new attendance record.
