Online Railbird Report

In last weeks Online Railbird Report, we highlighted Viktor Isildur1 Bloms remarkable $1,703,125 win against Ben Bttech86 Tollerene in six hours. Unfortunately for the Swede, he couldnt hold on to it as Tollerene recouped $1.5 million of it last Friday. Tollerene finished as the weeks biggest winner with $1,209,540 in 3,253 hands spread across 33 sessions.

Other winners included Issac luvtheWNBA Haxton (+$504,568 in 13 sessions/1,818 hands) and SallyWoo (+$299,494 in 10 sessions/649 hands) on Full Tilt Poker, and Odd_Oddsen (+$316,225 in 112 sessions/7,575 hands) over on PokerStars.

Not surprisingly, Blom was the weeks biggest loser, having dropped $1,474,629 in 12,760 hands across 151 sessions. Other losers included Tom durrrr Dwan (-$385,066 in 7 sessions/908 hands) and Sebastien Seb86 Sabic (-$309,456 in 19 sessions/1,789 hands) on FTP, and Ignat 0Human0 Liviu (-$296,217 in 106 sessions/5,751 hands) on PokerStars.

Sanlker Takes Blom for $213,000 in Saturday Action

On Saturday, April 6, a $500/$1,000 capped no-limit holdem game sprung up on Full Tilt Poker between Viktor Isildur1 Blom and Sanlker. The two have a storied rivalry, but this day belonged to the German, who relieved his Swedish foe of $213,000 in 45 minutes. The two played many pots that capped out at $60,000, and here are a few.

Hand #1: Sanlker ($35,000) opened for $2,000 on the button, Blom ($73,993) called from the big blind, and the flop came down 6?6?J?. Blom ended up check-calling a bet of $2,400, the 3? turned, and again Blom check-called a bet, this time $5,896. When the 10? completed the board on the river, Blom checked for a third time and then called when Sanlker bet $19,704. Sanlker tabled the 10?6? for a full house, and it was good, as Blom sent his cards to the muck.

Hand #2: Sanlker ($123,416.75) opened for $2,000 only to have Blom ($30,000) three-bet to $6,000. Sanlker responded by four-betting the cap of $30,000, and Blom called.

Sanlker: 2?2?
Blom: A?K?

It was a flip, and one that would come down in Sanlkers favor as the board ran out Q?9?Q?7?K?. Ship the $60,000 pot to Sanlker.

Hand #3: Blom ($62,841.75) opened for $2,000, Sanlker ($30,000) called, and the flop fell 9?J?K?. Sanlker check-called a bet of $2,000 and then promptly checked the 7? turn. Blom kept the pressure on with a bet of $5,000, Sanlker called, and the 6? completed the board on the river. Sanlker checked for a third time and then called off his last $21,000 after Blom bet that exact amount. Blom tabled the 7?8? for a pair of sevens, but it was no good as Sanlker rolled over the K?10? to take down the $60,000 pot.

On Sunday, April 7, Blom was back at the $500/$1,000 Capped NLHE tables to take on Ike luvtheWNBA Haxton. The two played for nearly two hours, and it was Haxton who walked away a nearly $500,000 winner. Again, there were plenty of capped pots including the following two examples.

Hand #1: Blom ($43,497.75) opened for $2,000 and then called when Haxton ($47,498.25) three-bet to $5,000, leading to an A?A?4? flop. Haxton led out for $3,000, Blom called, and the 2? turned. Blom ended up calling a bet of $6,000, the 10? completed the board on the river, and Haxton led out for $16,000. Blom made the call, but he had to regret it as Haxton rolled over the 10?10? for a rivered full house.

Hand #2: Haxton ($37,263.30) opened for $2,000, Blom ($30,000) three-bet to $6,000, and Haxton capped it at $30,000. Blom called with the A?9? and needed help against the J?J? of Haxton. The 9?5?K? flop paired Bloms nine, but he needed even more help if he hoped to win the $60,000 pot. The 6? turn wasnt what he needed, and neither was the 8? river. Haxtons jacks held, and he was pushed the pot.

Blom Recoups $583,000 in Tuesday Action

We mentioned earlier that Blom had won $1.7 million last week only to turn around and give it back a day later. You can read about this here. Approximately $200,000 of that came from Ben Bttech86 Tollerene at the $50/$100 PLO tables, and an additional $126,000 at the $100/$200 stakes. It was at the latter that the biggest pot of the day occurred.
